How many of you use a driving seat set up for playing gt, and how did you make it/where did you buy it from?

Driving seat... ie favourite seat to sit in while playing GT3?

In that case, the couch, right in front of the TV.

Is it cloth or leather? Ever though about fitting a four-point harness?

I wonder whether Recaro has ever considered making living room furniture??

Cloth, unfortunately. While we're about it, why not a tach, speedo, temp, fuel gauge, etc., etc...?

I meant, do any of you have a proper seat that gets you into a good driving position? If you do could you tell me a bit more about them?

I use my computer desk, a leather office chair, logitech driving force wheel mounted on my computer desk, shoe box underneath to keep the pedals from sliding, a stool on its side and a writsband wrapped around my dualshock controller and stool to hold it up on a leg of the stool so I can use the analog stick as my handbrake and the R1 and R2 as my shifter.

i've seen a few for sale on the net but they cost some dough. (like about 200+) then there is even some that cost like 600+. (those are definitely not worth it, they are not even real driving seats, but the 200+ ones are really good.

Heck you could probably build one for less than 100 bucks,got any speed shops ,pick up a good used racing bucket for 35-50,get some PVC pipe and use your imagination,would be easy .H**l i may try it ,but i would use steel or aluminum since i have access to it and am a welder and fabricator for a living

anybody ever see that hi-rev tuners where that guy had 2 steering wheels in the front seat, one to control the car, the other to control a racing game for ps2. Now thats what you call a driving seat

At my local Performance shop all there office chairs are Momo and Recaros mounted on swivel office chair bases, there pretty cool, it seems fairly easy to make them aswell.
Just unbolt the original chair from the swivel place, purchase your favourite race seat then screw some holes and mount it onto the swivel base..there ya go!.

There are a couple of companies who actually make those office racing seats (huh, office racing, sounds fun) corbeau included.

My custom made couch that I've had for 12 years now, which happens to be falling apart these days. Oh well, it's in my private room, so company can't see it. That makes my woman happy.

Hi Durnin Rubba


only the armrest and cockpit is in MDF otherwise the self-adhesive velour dont gluing right on the cutting edges.

The cockpit-curve is 4mm hardboard with self-adhesive velour

All other is simple 22mm raw flake board colored with Stone- Effect Spray.
Stone- Effect Spray is verry easy to use ( without big preparatory work )


The Seat and the Pedals are from a Car.


If You want to realize a mirrorfinish - Color, it is better to use MDF !!!

I used a seat I stole from a junkyard and took one of the latest Force Feedback steering, shifting, pedal setups. I painted over the decals and cant remember what co. it is. But the whole deal is aluminum and steel. It works well.

Those seats are really cool, but I have a question.


Has a manufacturer like MOMO or Sparco ever linked up with a hardwear company and made a 'proper' video game steering wheel/seat set-up?



I had this idea a while ago after buying a wheel for my PSX and finding it plasticy and err crap, obviously such a set-up wouldnt come cheap but these days I think there are lots of people who would shell out the extra cash for something like this. This thread proves that.
