At the recommendation of Ed, I'm copying this thread from the GTX on over here to the GTP.

READ ME FIRST: This thread is meant to list any and all cars that are either confirmed or semi-confirmed to being in GT4. I would appreciate it if people who find new cars would post their news in this thread, and not create all new threads because this will help keep the clutter and redundant posting down in this forum. Also, please do not attempt to type up your own list, merely post any new cars that are not already on the list below. Many thanks in advanced...

The cars in this thread will be marked according to how they are known to us at the moment. The system will be as follows:
Cars in black have been seen in screenshots or have been confirmed by Polyphony through lists
Cars in red have been seen being photographed and tested by Sony/Polyphony Digital and may or may not be in GT4
Cars in green have been mentioned by magazines or in interviews as being in the game, yet have not been seen. Also may not be in GT4
Cars marked with an asterik (*) are from GT4: Prologue. These cars may not make it into the final version of GT4.

In parenthesis is the number of cars in each of the three color categories for that manufacturer. A complete total is at the bottom.

HOLY CRAP! I am f'ing hyperventalating right now. Those have to be some of my favorite cars of all time. (note my avatar) The Aerodeck is awesome. It had a digital tach like the S2000.

The list is merely meant to be as "official" of a list as you can get, because everything on it is from screenshots, photo sessions, or good sources. This is in no way meant to be mistaken for an official list from Polyphony.

All of those appear to be on my list except for a few JGTC cars, merely because I believe those cars are copies from GTC and wont be in GT4, since they are 2002 cars (or older) and we'd likely get 2003 cars in GT4.

Also, I'm not aware of any screenshots of the Acura DN-X or it's Honda counterpart.

I searched through the whole thread and found nothing that isn't already on my list.

I do have to point out an error in that thread though, the picture you think is of a silver Audi RS6 is actually an Audi A6. The front license plate actually says 'A6' on it in other screenshots.

Hopefully that's an impersonal "you", rather than a me "you"...

The Xanavi Skyline JGTC is prime proof against this. The team still runs a car, yet the 2001 car is in GT4 screenies (the 2002 and 2003 cars are a totally different colour).


Just rechecking the thread, I've no idea where the DN-X came from - I'd assume one of the videos posted earlier on in the thread, but with a 56k modem I'm NOT downloading them to find out. It just suddenly appears in kekke's list - and he only added what he'd seen in screenies.

I have a 56k, so it'd be impossible to look at the videos. But I did look at the photos, yes, and your (as in the lot of you) interpretations of the pictures. They're the same ones I and others have come up with.

That, and I seem to have found a lot more cars in screenshots alone. So basically it's everything your list has, updated with even more confirmed cars from screenshots, and adds in the cars that might be in the game. All in one place. So people don't have to search hard for it.

The 2002 JGTC cars are in GT4 as well as the 2003 ones, the Pennzoil Skyline 02 is in some video's, you can tell the difference between the 02 and 03 Skylines quite easily, also the 02 NSX's are in, the Raybrig and Mobil 1 have been seen racing, the 03 cars are based on the new NSX road car and have that roof intake, the 02 cars are the old NSX's and don't, the Supra's seem pretty similar but there are diferences in the intakes, the 02 Deso is in as is the 02 CDMA one Supra, the 03 Woodone Supra is in.

Also I've seen the Cadilac Cien in a video for GT4, against cars not in GTC.

My reasoning behind the JGTC cars is this: All the cars that we've seen in GT4 screenshots are the same cars that were in GTC. Therefore I believe that they just took the GTC models and stuck them into the GT4 engine just to show off some screens. I've noticed these cars specifically in the the arcade-like versions of the game with seats and big screens and whatnot, which would make me think they are a custom made deal.

Traditionally, GT has only featured current JGTC cars, with exception to former champions. This would be the Pennzoil Skyline GT-R from 1999, the Castrol Mugen NSX from 2000, and the au Cerumo Supra from 2001.

We already know the current 2003 Xanavi Nismo GT-R is in GT4 Prologue, so I don't see why the 2001 Hiroto Xanavi GT-R would be in. It's just a gut feeling that they wont make it into the final game. Don't get me wrong, I've seen the screenshots that show the car, but also notice that the car is not driveable.

The NSX's are the same thing, they lack the air scoop that was added in late 2002 (after the release of GTC) and still used in 2003. The current generation NSX body style was used in 2002 however. Most of the teams have the same sponsership, yet the cars in the screens are obviously the older cars. I just feel that we'll see the 2003 cars in the final game.

The cars I've mentioned are all in Video's of GT4 not just screenshots, believe me they are all there, besides PD are using the same software to make cars for GTC in GT4, which is different to what they used in GT3.

Personally I'd love to have the bulk of the 2003 cars in, and not only GT500 cars, but the GT300s as well, like the Toyota MR-S, Toyota Celica, ASL Gairaiya, Mosler MT900R, Vemac RD320R, Chrysler Viper Competition Coupe, Nissan Fairlady Z, etc...

Oh and the Cusco Impreza GT300 is in.

I heard someone mention the Cusco Impreza but I've seen no screenshots of it. Anyone know where it is?

I've not seen a pic but it is in, also the ASL Gariya GT300 was confirmed ina car magazine.

I need a bit more proof then that.

Other cars your missing are the Toyota Triathlon race car, which is a prize car in GT4P, there will be a hell of alot more than 2 Marcos's, unfortunately no specifics on which models exactly so not much good for the list just yet.
Also the Nissan GT-R concept LM race car
I'm not sure if you'll want every car thats been tested and photgraphed for GT4 cos theres a hell of alot including Ferrari's.

The Triathlon is on the list, it's under 'Motor Triathlon Race Car'. I personally haven't seen the GT-R LM, but since the NSX-R LM and RX-8 LM were in some screenshots, it seems likely it was as well.

But what is "virtually"? I'd rather not guess on wether or not they are going to have every single Marcos ever, so I just have the ones that were seen being photographed.
