Say hello to the Challenger:

[pics moved..:indiff:]

That looks mean, and for once it's not truck-mean , but muscle car mean. 👍

Article on Autoweek

Built on a shortened Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger chassis (116-inch wheelbase vs. 120 inches), the Challenger gets a 6.1-liter Hemi hooked to a six-speed manual transmission with a pistol grip shifter.
I remember reading something about a 6.4 version, with over 500hp, too.

UPDATE: Edmunds driving the concept car on the road.

It looks good, its certainly a move in the right direction. This is how 'retro' styling should be done.

Actually, IMHO, the one and only problem with the new "Charger" was that it wasn't different enough from the Chrysler 300C.

This is nice, but it's just a little too retro for production. But then, so was the new Mustang.

Now that is a car that could seriously challenge the Mustang in the two door market.

I can only hope that it comes to market similar to what it is now.

gross. That front is horrible. They should've made the middle lights come out some.

It looks like someone owns it on a farm or something, like they made their own car...............but otherwise looks alrighty!

Make the front lights bigger, the rear lights 'normal' and maybe sort out the lines joining the rear roof and body and I'd like it much more.

Not too bad though.

It looks pretty good, but the proportions are a little off. Some of the little details, too.
Let's see if I can photoshop up the fixes...

Yeah, that's much better. :sly:

it looks stupid..

The nose is so small....it looks exactly like some Charger Kit car...

You know what they were trying to do..but you can tell they built it off of something else that they had to alter proportions to make it fit..

I agree. Who cares about the 4 doors when you've got a rebadged 300C that's been beaten with the ugly stick?

As for this Challenger, it's a little too retro at some parts, and too concept-ish at others...but I like it. :)

At least it's better looking than the 300C and the Charger/Magnum. But, they need to just put the largest motor in it as possible and hope it will win the oldschool muscle car fans--because just adding the generic "Hemi" doesn't excite me. For once Dodge needs to just add a special motor in one car instead of doing the GM syndrome by sticking the same V8's in all of thier models. I'd still rather have the GT Mustang anyway.

Looks ok, but it does look "squished", not quite long enough, not quite wide enough, ugly wheels.

I'd hit it. Very hard with my head... ;)

I hope someone gets that :nervous: but I actually do like it, if they tidied up the looks a bit. It still hurts the Charger is auto-only. It's gettin whooped against the Stang because of that extra gear. And 600-ish pounds :(
