Why dont they make them any more? Nothing more fun then riding a motorcycle full blast and knocking people off of their bikes by using chains, clubs or even kicking them. You could even knock the cops off their bikes too then run them over.
Are there any games like Road Rage for the PS2 or xbox??

Hell yeah I remember Road Rash. my father bought it once and I hogged it ever since my first play.
I would remember the characters were made really funny and you started off with a rusted and battered bike, and the superbikes were always real nice and expensive. Would be good if they made a next-gen version of the game, I kinda miss it. (think my dad sold it in the end.)

Ahh I used to be addicted to road rash 3 on the megadrive. Can't beat slapping people in the face with chains on the back of superbikes.

I liked how if someone fell off their bike they had to physically run back to it. It was always so fun running over the people that were walking right in the middle of the road. Especialy if you were playing with a friend that was ahead of you and wiped out. I would check the mile marker he was at and get massive air running over his body.

Man I wish my dad never got rid of it, I would love to play it again, even though I'd probably wipe out all the time now.

Hell yeah I remember that game. I loved beating the ****e out of them.

DUDE! Weaving in and out of traffic on RR3 with Sound Garden: Rusty Cage pumpin in the background is one of my fondest gaming experiences.

👍

I remeber I had the original one for PC. I somehow lost it when we move but I remeber runnin over grandmas, fight with cops and other bikers. That game was awsome. They should make a PS3 version of the original.

That game was such a fun game to play back in the day....I do miss playing it now. No other bike game I know of never had this much action in it. They should totally remake the game for today's consoles!

I picked up Road Rash I and II for the Sega Genesis last year, that brought back memories. I never forgot P.E. No 1 being the top rider on one of the games. Nothing better than taking out the cops in the middle of the race. The cutscenes after the races are classic(like the ambulance stops to pick you up but instead they take your bike, and getting put in the trunk of the cop car). I sometimes get mocked for always bringing up the past, it's all good though.

I still have Road Rash 3D for the PS1, but it's scratched and won't load. :(

Exactly! 👍

Road Rash, along with Screamer 2 were the first games I played on the PC.

WOW! and I was thinking I was the only one who ever played the Screamer games. I had the 1st one, and borrowed Screamer 2 from a friend back in the day. I loved those games, pure, wholesome fun!

Similar in the fact that you ride bikes and beat the crap out of each other while racing, check out Motocross Mania 3. Screenshot:

You ride dirtbikes instead of streetbikes, racing while doing tricks off of jumps, and pummeling the others into oblivion. Not a terriffic game, but it should fill your need alright.

And it's cheap. Enjoy.

Yeah I played Road Rasg 3D a lot. it was cool because you had a huge area where you drive arround freely, just like in GTA, Midnight Club or NFSU 2 :
I'd buy a good sequal immediately...

I am going to try and find that some time for sure!! THanks TB. 👍

That's one thing I can't understand. Why didn't EA release a RR game for this generation. RR 3D wasn't the best of the series, but it was still pretty damn fun. I still have hope to see a new Road Rash game in the future though.

I remember playing, I think it was, Road Rash 3 on the Genesis. Then a few years later I bought it for PC. Those were some good times. The game was simple, yet so enjoyable.

Oh the great memories of Road Rash, but I would like to see a new version come out on current gen and next gen consoles. While having an online mode, oh and did I forget they could also make a version for the PC.

I rented Motorcross Mania 3 this weekend. Not very impressed at all. I played for about 2 hours and it just got to repetitive. No where near as fun as the Road rash games. Mabey in the future they can release another Road Rash for the 360 or the PS3.

I guess if we get enough members to email, EA (they made the game didnt they?), and show that there is an interest, maybe they would go ahead with a new version. Many old games have been brought back, OutRun being one of the more well known ones, so Road Rash might have a chance.

(However, I'm drooling over Tourist Trophy and I WANT!)

I agree. I recommended it because it's as close to RR as you can get with a new game. I also wanted to see if it was just me that thought it sucked. I guess I was right.

*gives CAMAROBOY69 back his $2 :guilty:*

I will add this to the list of games I need to check out.

It really is mystifying how EA haven't realised the pull this would have on 90s gamers and new audiences alike. The 1996 PC game with a joystick really was one of the purest, most fun games I have ever played. I have the PS1 version now as I own Macs, but it's not the same with such poor graphics. The Mega Drive ones still look great with their sprites however.

Even something along the lines of a compendium 1,2 & 3 with HD graphics akin to SFII HD would be a start, if they didn't want to go down the 3D Jailbreak route (which was a fun game in its own right).

So, did you try it? Come on man, it's been 5 years already, you list can't be that long!

I was listening to a PC Gamer podcast the other day and they were they were talking about which game franchise they would like to see coming back. The first game that I could think of was Road Rash.
