cool apricot hill
did some F1 test laps there too
i will try to get pole position

I'm going to have nightmares about Apricot Hill soon.

JGTC, F1, WRS. All at once!

All this rich European food...I'm gaining weight  This is gonna hurt down those long straights.

Good track choice, I've always had a soft spot for Apricot Hill 👍

10 bucks for someone who can tell me how i can win this round... or at least score 5 more points than zeratul and VTracing...👍

i´m already scared at those supras, appie and casio...

I'm feeling quietly confident about this round. I've done about 300 miles this past week on Apricot. I've got a lighter car then all those above me, and I think I'm only 5 points back from 2nd place. If I could get...maybe 15 points. Well...Who knows...

you have to aim for 19 and try to have a good final round... i think the track is perfect for your car...

Where's my 10 bucks?

ok, maybe you´re willing to take some of my extra weight in your car...💡

very nice:tup:

its a good idea...

haha, well, i really don´t think the skylines can do much this round, but lets see...

if i win, with all that weight and stuff, i´ll try to get you 10 bucks:tup:

NIce ! i like this track !

Yo fasj6418 you is a wizard ! hahaha

Do something mate !

let me think !

A DIET !

HEHEHE

Holla !

Dropping a bit off-topic, I just got around to running the GTWC. I'd been trying to run it in a more competitive car than the obvious Minolta but eventually gave up trying (lack of time doesn't help) and just got it out of the way.

That Minolta is one scary machine. It handles like a slab of butter in a hot frying pan! Except at Sarthe, which makes sense considering that's what it was designed for...makes me love my JGTC Skyline all the more. I hope I don't have to drive that thing again in a hurry :nervous:

Anyway, just had to share that, back to the races :)

Yeeehaaaa!!

Nice one eats, now you'll be unstoppable. All you need to do is knock up a race frame of some description (mine's made of cheap pine - total cost to build, about $70) and you'll be set.

And to think my DFP cost $299 Australian... :(

Nice one eats, good call 👍 Of course it has its downside, some tracks are damn hard work...my shoulders are a bit stiff from SSR5 :sly:

i´m really pissed off for not been able to buy a DFP:grumpy:

i hate you guys with cockpits and stuff:)

i hope one day i´ll get one, i´m tired of fighting my DS2...

before i get to the qualify, just for the record i love the toyota 88 cv (minolta) that thing in nurb is beautiful:tup:

maybe in a GT1000 class someday?:dopey:

as for the race, i didn´t suck as much as i thought:dopey: i had some laps with the RX-7 and then tried my car... only 1 second slower, so i´m not dead i think... of course, apricott is a very free flowing track, so i might be tricked by that, but who knows? anyway, very curious to see what times other drivers are getting...

Slow would be the answer. I'm feeling the weight this round, she's no longer graceful under trail braking...some seriously nervous moments in the sweepers, too much weight in the back...and climbing that hill after the hairpin is just painful. I think I can actually hear the engine laboring :sly:

At a track where car stability is key, this is a bad time to be carrying a body in the trunk :(

I don't mean to pick at you two, fasj and EFJ, but isn't that comparing times, which we are not allowed to do?

On the topic of this track. It is very technical. I loved this place in GT3, but for some reason it has lost it's appeal to me. I'm going to spend lots of time on qualifying this week... and this time I actually am going to put in the time . I think it's time to re-ignite the spirt I had when it started this championship. When I joined, all I did was play GT. I was hooked! But now, I just don't seem interested(well, I haven't, but I do now!).

no its nothing like that... in my hometown, he´s my neighbor... and he plays in a different class... we will just watch the races for fun... 👍

You guys can compare what ever you want, the only things I don't want to see are numbers or times discussed here in our JGTC thread. Offline talk about it all you want. :)

ROFL, I was just OWNED. :p

So, now I have completed 50ish laps around Apricot Hill. Gained a bit of time on my first attempt last night, and know there is still about 2-3 tenths there, with the line I have. I'm going to go to revising the line tommorow, but I'm not sure I will have much sucess. This is by far the hardest track on the callender, or at least up to this point. Suzuka may be harder. :nervous:

I guess the warning is out for S2 now. :p

So EV4L, when you get the new DFP wheel set are you going to set it up like your Pitwork Z is a kart or --- take the Disciplined Purist approach and use ONLY your right foot for both brakes and throttle?

Why anyone would brake with their left foot is beyond my comprehension, and I've heard a rumor that the new, yet to be released, DFP upgrade wheelset has a clutch pedal and you cannot downshift without using it. If they'd do it right it would be set up so you'd have to double-clutch on each downshift, but that might be too much.

that would be awesome, i might finally learn to drive a car with a clutch after that... (i know, i feel ashamed because of that, but thankfully my car is auto).

ran some laps last night, improved a bit, finally got to the second barrier that i was aiming for... i tested other cars, and casio i´m putting a little pressure now, this is your round to win, pole and make the fastest lap... you car is a second faster than any other i tried...

its amazing how much time can be gained in things you really don´t look at... i think i´ll have to drive with the ghost on all week...

Grr, that session with the Minolta has made me overcautious in the turns...I have to train myself to attack the corners again. I just spent about an hour chasing my laptime from a couple of days ago.

@fasj6418: Was it you who said you like the Minolta? Just curious, do you use TCS when you drive it?
