Coolness. I definitely won't be as quick this time, I'm usually not that fast on this track, and I don't have any time until Saturday to play! So that's less than a day for me to squeeze a qualifier in, let alone get some practice.

Is the weighting going to go up soon? Or should I just go to sleep and look in the morning? :)

It's up, dude you're at 960kg you should be fast on R2! :sly:
 
Nice! We'll see how it goes, I won't have time(still working on my damn car, wanna see pictures? it's pretty sweet looking!) to get a feel for the track this week though, and I don't think I'm very good at conserving tires, but we shall see, we shall see... :) Thanks!
 
Wow, this is the first time I have ever been under stock weight. :dopey:

I have a feeling the RX-7's are going to bad this week again, since Motegi is much like Midfield, and none of us lost any large amount of weight. :indiff:
 
Ahh Motegi...and I'm defending pole and the win here from last year :cool: Pity I may not have my frikkin DFP for the race! I'm looking forward to seeing how my new car handles around here...feeling strong :trouble:

@Casio: I just had a crash course in Anzac Day. All the way from dawn service to 2-up. Very cool 👍

My intuition tells me this might be an Apex track. I said "might" be.
 
No illegal shots this round, the main rules pretty much sums it up. Since it's either asphalt/rumble strips and grass all around it's pretty easy to judge. :)

LMAO....you guy's must be some kind of mole or something, eh? There is only one spot on this track where a short cut works. Don't worry, I wont do it in this competition. Here is a bigger picture just after leaving the tarmac !
 
Heh - found out where the off road section is :crazy: Actually its alomost in every turn :scared:
I never did like this track, the time of day is the worst it could be. Either the sun is in your eyes or the signs are in the shade so you can't see your braking points, thus your in the weeds smoking like the hippies.:grumpy:

Ran 1 clean lap and it will be my time to submit. Not looking to do well on this one as it definitly is not one of my better tracks (my worst)

The non NXS's will beat us by a second or better from the tight shicane to the finish line easy. We have to nearly stop to go thru this just to keep it on the track while the others fly through here with ease. :yuck:

HAHA, I think I've figured this place out, but I know from past experience that when I think I do good in quali I useally don't. I think there is another 1 or 1.5 seconds there and plan on getting it, but it is going to take some work.

👍 if you can get 1 to 1.5 seconds from your time! I don't think I could. You GT300 guys really know how to maintain momentum in those cars, or the RX just doesn't fit my driving style. Sure is fun to be able to brake so late though. I can brake WAAAAAY deeper in the RX than my GT-R and I didn't think there was THAT much speed differential.

My goal is another 0.3" - 0.5" or so off of my current qual time... We'll see...

The RE Amemiya has some awesome brakes to be sure. But the speed differential is more than immediately apparent I think.

[off-topic]Yeah. Anzac day is pretty awesome. Pay our respects to the guys who died to keep Australia and New Zealand free, and then, we throw a game of football in their honour.



92,000 people packed into the M.C.G to see Collingwood and Essendon play the great game that is Aussie Rules. What's even better was that Collingwood won! 'Carn the Pies!!!

But there is something really special about ANZAC day, and it's something that I think sums up Australia perfectly. On the years that ANZAC day falls on a Saturday or Sunday. We still get the Monday off. I love Australia[/off-topic]

Just a thought here, but is the class winner from the previous round reminded of the -1% change in horsepower for the following three rounds?

The weight change is well known but maybe the horsepower change could be overlooked if the Official JGTC Thread is not reviewed.
