ive got a nissan skyline m spec II nur

and this car handles like **** ive been trying a few settings but nothing is working..the understeer is horrible

any help out there would be appreciated thanks

Let me guess: you've put a giant turbo on it and you're pushing 700+ hp through a stock suspension.

For starters, turn off ASM and Lower TCS to 1 (AWD cars don't need ASM and they only need TCS to avoid wheelspin)

I Run TCS at 3, and ASM at 0.

Your tuning problem is too much power with out the proper set up, no kidding a car with stock suspension and 800HP is going to handle bad.

Lucky for you, this is my exact project car, I will post some of my personal favorite settings for you to use. Mind you, I tune for controlled under steer, not over steer.

EDIT: Try this

Spring Rate: 10.0 / 8.5
Ride Height: 86 / 86 (Should be adjusted by track type!)
Shock Absorbers: ---
Shock Bound: 8 / 8
Shock Rebound: 8 / 8
Camber: 3.0 / 1.5
Toe Angle: 0 / -1
Stabilizers: 5 / 5

If your understeering, try increasing camber in the rear by a few degrees. The car can use a drop with stickier tires as well. Btw, you can't expect beautiful handeling when your pushing that much power anyway.

Also, in my opinion the only reason we get the M Spec II Nur is just for bragging rights. I noticed the regular GTR/Vspec is lighter and cheaper, and the little hp/suspension differences dont really make a difference once you start tuning.

Yeah Nialzz, alot of cars they put in that game was just for the sheer fact of putting them in to increase the number of cars. I can think of about a dozen cars right now that weren't in the game, but SHOULD have been.

Btw, I like the sig hehe

understeer? with R34?! :odd: just take all aids off and try modulating the throttle in corners instead of flooring it..

Yeah, I know what you mean, but for your newbie driver, the RWD based AWD system of the GTR may seem like its understeering a bit.

R34 V-Spec II Nür. want go fast? twisties or straights, this is the car you must have for it. power-over drifts are quite easy with this one, and with proper settings, it'll do 314mph, good for Like The Wind, for example.

and about GT-R's understeer; they should stop driving it like they drive it in NFSU II.. weightshifting is needed in order to turn better and avoid understeer, just like in any other car. it's not the car that understeers, it's the driver.. ( this sentence does not include american cars!;) :D)

So, I am just bragging because I own an M-Spec? Actually, I find this comment kind of insulting. I actually prefer the M-Spec over the other cars. I find it to preform better than some of the others. But, that's me.

@Leonidae, who is "they"?

yeah thanks :)

and its a 2 finger salute to the TidySig guys :)

*on topic*

as for the M -spec which one do you mean?
the M-Spec gt-R nur 2
or the 1980's GT-M

is its the nur 2 M then yeah theyre o.k but i do prefer my Nur-2 (the one with the carbon hood. or my Gt-R :)

I'm just wondering how the M-Spec GT-R34 can be called 'better' than the V-SpecII Nur GT-R34. Is this because it costs a few thousand credits more? It is a more luxurious version of the V-Spec, and because of this it is slightly heavier. Unfortunately we don't benefit from added comfort of cars in the game, but we do feel extra weight so why would you want an M-Spec over a V-SpecII car?
Just thought I'd point this out...

:bowdown:Wahey we have a person who agrees with me, buy cheaper buy better, but more value for money!
call me a tramp but i buy most of my cars used:ouch: , unless i absolutely have to have a new one.:)

Well the Mspec does set consistant faster lap times out of the box, and comes with 344hp.. So theres your few thousand extra credits there. Once you start tuning, cheaper is better.

Blah blah blah

The only difference is that one has got a special color and the other one produces 450 bhp unlimited, for the rest, they're all the same.

As for the topic, ASM can be turned on, turn on the understeer and turn off the oversteer 👍

With all this, turn off the TCS, have fun ;)

I'm sure the first line was needed...

There really are differences on the cars, the M-Spec is more forgiving for the driver's mistakes and has overall a softer feel in it - the V-SpecII is more like a race-prepped car and drives like one. Each to their own, I chose the V-SpecII but have also driven the M-Spec and it's all about personal preferences.

About the ASM, I don't think it's needed, the car drives very well even in full tune with no aids. It takes some getting used to as it's quite different from other 4WD ones but I recommend driving it for an hour and crashing a few times when searching the limits rather than turning on the aids.

Really? So the Mspec was more of a relaxed type skyline? I honestly can't tell the difference between any of them. Once you start tuning though, it really doesn't matter.

Mmm.. of GT4:s GT-R's? No. But short summary is, that R34 is heavy, yet agile and mentally quick with proper driver, whereas R32 needs pretty skilled driver to get most out of it and R33 is something between these two.

There is no way in hell a GTR handles bad... Thats why people love it so much, cause it can handle so damn well.

Lol, nah, I meant the differences between the specs of the R34's. Im just wondering why the Vspec seems to be the most aggresive even though the Mom-Spec is their top model. The standard GT R seems lighter then all of them even though I know in real life the Vspec1/2? have some carbon fiber here and there.. Why is it heavier in the game??? So confusing...
