The Eleanor Gone in 60 Seconds limited edition 68 Mustang.

The "Gone in 60 Seconds" tribute Mustangs have all been sold.

#60 sold for $135,774,241 (yes 135 million)

Thank you everyone that bid on all of these cars. Most of it truly was a rewarding and exciting experience.







This is similar to the collector edition I made in Forza 1 but this time I wasnt restricted to just 600 vinyls. Now with 4,100 vinyls I finally made this car exactly how I wanted.
There will only be 60 of these made and once they are all gone then thats it. Each car will have a number on the back spoiler of the car starting at 1/60.

Now for the car design layout which took around 37 hours total.
1. Angelina Jolies face is on the passenger side. (Progress--100%--15 hours work)
2. Nicolas Cage will is on the driver side. (Progress--100%-8 hours work)
3. This real life Eleanor picture is on the top of the roof. (Progress--100%--10 hours)
4. The passenger and driver side has "Gone in 60 Seconds" just like the movie case. (Progress--3 hours--100%)
5. The rear has 1/60, up to 60/60. Also my signature CB69. (Progress--100%-20 minutes work)

**The first 50 cars will be starting at $100,000 with a $500,000 buyout. The last 10 cars will start at $500,000 with a buyout of $1 million.**

Since this is a collector edition rare car I wanted it to have its own thread like I did in Forza 1.
 
Is there some way of duplicating cars in this game that I'm missing or do you have to buy all 20 cars and add the livery from file? I really am not making a lot of money through this game and would love to be able to offer something like numbered cars to friends and the general userbase.

You can duplicate the vinyl sets on cars quite easily. Just have to group them together and save them as a set.
 
You cant copy the actual cars but you can save your design from mustang to mustang. I will have to buy each mustang then just place the design from one car to the next. I will physically have to make the design which will take me several days and at least 30-40 hours.
 
Can you host the pics on imageshak ? cause I can't see them (site is blocked in Saudi)

but from the desgin descreption I would love one, I've only got Forza 2 and will start playing on Wednesday so can you put me up for one?

I havent decided yet. It will probably start out at $100,000. I am not sure about the buyout yet. Also if there is a high enough demand I might actually make 60 of 60. That was my girlfriends idea but I didnt think there would be a high enough demand for 60 but I have a feeling I might be wrong. I am getting replies from other forums for this car. I might have to bump it to 60/of 60. In that case I will start the auction at at lower price.

so how would some one be able to get his hands on one?
 
Once I am finished with the design you will have to buy the car from the Forza 2 Auction House. Just bid on it and if you have the highest bid when the auction ends then you get one of the cars. Or if you can afford the buyout price you can go that route too.
 
when will the cars be out on AH?

seems like I need to start collecting cash as soon as I start playing wednesday :D:D
 
Its probably going to take me at least 30-40 hours to complete. And I can only put in a few hours a night after work so I am guessing the car will be done within a week if it goes well.
 
Well it looks like I will use my girlfriends idea and sell 60/60 of these since the demand definetly seems high enough according to the replies from other forums. I will also keep several of these in the AH at a time so everyone gets a change to bid.
 
This isn't fair. What about those of us who don't have Forza 2 yet. = ( Maybe you should do something like "releasing" like 5-10 a month for 6-8 months. ;)
 
You dont have to worry about that. I am sure these will be floating around in the AH for a while. People will get bored of them or need money and sell them to try and make a profit. They will always be available one way or another.
 
I agree. Forza 2 is a MUST have title if your an xbox360 owner. I think its one of the best racing games I ever played. And now the ability to put 4,100 vinyls on one car is a designers dream come true. 👍
 
Just a thought, bud, but you should consider putting a license plate on the rear of them with the car # on it. ;)

Something like: 1 / 60 as the license plate number. ;)
 
Thats a pretty good suggestion. I was going to put it in the upper left on the spoiler. Usually my signature is on the plate. CB69 But I really like your idea too. I will have to consider it for sure.

I tried creating a conversation with you the other day whilst you were painting, but you never accepted. Are you just that focused, or was there some other underlying reason? (Not trying to be rude, just trying to put pieces to the puzzle.)

Sometimes I am already in a voice chat with other friends or sometimes I have my car sitting in the paint editor while I am on the computer posting pics. If I am posting pics or looking for new designs to make then I wont even see a chat invite. Its nothing personal but as you can imagine I get voice chats, friend requests, game invites almost every 5-10 minutes. lol
The next time you see me on send a chat invite and I will tell my other friends to hold on. Sometimes I am also voice chatting with my customers for the design on their car.

No, you don't have to go out of your way for me. I was just curious, since it seemed as though you were just the "bees knees" and seemed constantly overloaded with invites and other such info. ;) I can understand, to be honest, since my AIM is the same way (even though I only have 10-15 friends on AIM).
 
Camaro, could you give us GTPers first shots at them? Maybe gift us the car and we'll gift you a car of equal value that you want?

I'll take one. The 13th car if possible. :)
