You guys wouldn't believe the stress I had to deal with tonight. THE STRESS. o_e

That was some parity tonight in D1. Just look at those fast lap times :cheers: Well done all.
 
Seriously, great racing in both races. It seemed like if the leader got clear in the first lap or two (Hector in race 1, myself in race 2), they could pull away from the field. As nice as it was to get that win in race 2, race 1 was probably more fun, even if it was more frustrating. Lots of back and forth battles, as every lap or couple of laps, someone would slide off track.
 
that was a great car choice !!!! I know I couldve gone much faster if i had practice. after 15 laps i really started to get in a groove and the tires held up and the car had brakes like a beast
 
Good Racing in div 2,3,a. btw Micantony I shaved 17 seconds off my nurb time after an oil change.
 
A lot of mistakes in race 2 cost me the overall win :banghead: And to make it worst I lost them in the final lap :confused: but anyways I think everybody have a lot of fun, congratulations bionic and dolph very very good race (at least I win my 1st race in gt6 in the league :cheers:) and gr8cr, when you go in the pits I'm thinking maybe it's because me, and for 1 moment I'm going to stop too because I know I'm racing hard whit you soo if you think I do something wrong apologizes :bowdown: See you on the next one guys :gtpflag:

No it wasmt you hector it was me I was just going off track too much. you passed me nice and clean and I bombed the exit, not your fault. After that I just gave up :lol:
 
Remember the nurb time trials begin today! If you want to post a time have a steward watch your time deadline us Friday at 4:00pm central

Although i imagine much of that 17 seconds is just getting familiar with the car and nurb and not simply the extra hp:mischievous: :sly:

So is the general idea to run race cars on the 24hr and street cars on the nordschleife? So we can build a little database and comparison?

Also, are we running the time trial at the version without time/weather so we have consistency? Or are you making us choose the time of day by our choice?

All the Turtles did very good in race 1. Everyone raced within themselves and their skill level.
I think everyone got to have some good battles along the way and get a little faster before the night was over! Stellar racing guyss! Hats off to all the guys I raced with you guys are awesome and make me proud to be a Turtle!!:cheers:
 
Had a blast running with you guys last night..... I was able to manage a 1:57 as my quickest time, but most of my laps averaged around 2:10 - 2:12. Sure I could have gotten it down to around a 2:04 - 2:05 with more practice, but do not feel too bad since I just picked up the game on Wednesday. Looking forward to racing y'all again next week...gonna check out which car and track combo is in store so that I can try to get a few laps in every day this week.....lol. Hey 3for; some very nice pics. Thank you for posting a pic of my reverse "Smurf" scheme, lol. BTW, after I fell a lap down, I tried to "remove" myself from the racing line as much as possible to let you guys get by. Sorry if I caused any mishaps by doing so.

Remember guys the nurb time trials are up for grabs get the laps in ask a steward to watch you or another turtle to watch you and the person who watched you will send me a pm of their time, you can do it as many times as you want

Glad you enjoyed your first Turtle race Diggs:tup:
It will only get better the more you do. Then you'll find yourself addicted to the racing!:dopey:

Some brief advice: if you find yourself getting lapped, the recommended thing to do is just stick to your racing line, the faster guys will get around you. More incidents occur because someone unexpectedly tries to move over at the same time the lapping cars try to make their move to pass. So just stick to your line:cheers: ; unless you can make it obvious and with plenty of time in a safe spot that you are moving over for them. (Lifting slightly coming out of a corner works well too, because then they just accelerate past and you can grab their draft without losing much time yourself)

Looking forward to seeing you in practice. And dont forget everyone, we run 2 races on Saturday's. Second race is reverse grid and is loads of fun and great experience no matter how fast or slow you may be. It's all part of the event. Make the winners from race 1 work for it! And maybe get a chance to learn their lines...

My D2 race was relatively uneventful, other than a few miscues on my behalf. Chased BigMoMo for many laps and was pressured by euclid58 for many laps. What stands out in my mind was how much effort the slower cars put into staying out of the way. It was kinda fun lapping a few guys and I was pleased that none of them presented any real issues in doing so. Kudos to all :cheers:
 
During this week, The Stewards will be Promoting some Drivers to D1 and D2. We are going back too 2 Divisions.


Reason Why?

Why race with 5 other cars than race with 14 other cars? The more the Better! 👍

Also If you get promoted to D1 and your not keeping up at all, Do Not get discouraged! We understand that you are maybe not the fastest but working on getting faster thats why we believe its best to get a good group of Rookie D1 Drivers and a huge group of D2 Drivers and Rookie D2.

We do have a couple of D1 Promotions already. Well only 1 at the moment,

The Weekly Nurb Time Trials is on going from Sunday to Friday afternoon All you have to do is ask someone to watch you post your lap time and the inspector who watched you will PM me your time, at least 2 tires on track at all times
 
I can't for the love of me learn the 24h Nurburgring. Time for some pratice. Seeing how I won't be driving next weekend, might as well go for the timed lap.

By the way, congrats to you too, Hector! I didn't realize you hadn't won an Enduro race in GT6 yet. It took me a while to get my first win in GT6. I had won FLEX and Nurb races in GT5, but hadn't taken a win yet in GT6 for several weeks.

FYI: I will try to open a TIME TRIAL room tonight with all the settings from the original post. Anyone interested, please stop by and we can get some "official" times reported. Depending on who shows up, i will run the trials 20-30 minutes at a time to give everyone 1-2 solid laps (tires aren't warm lap 1 yet, so i treat it as a warm up myself).

from the event, we can save a replay and review it closely after the fact to ensure it was clean.

Settings:
Time Trial Mode
Room Quality = high
Voice Quality = off (use type chat if necessary, but keep it to a minimum so as not to distract anyone)

track: N24 set to 12:00 hours, time progression 1, no weather
Grip redux: real
Slipstream: real (participants must stay spread out, time disallowed for any participant using draft/following another car)

not sure about running alone or with others (i despise the blue lines, but either way, get VERY spread out if multiple entries running together).

Tires: RM
Tuning: prohibited
Aids: off (ABS allowed)

anyway, like i said, this allows for saving a replay that can be reviewed after the fact for clean laps for multiple participants at once if desired.

Please don't join room unless you are prepared to set a time, practice in your own room. please don't leave room during anyone else's time trial if you are not running ("______ Left the room" message avoidance). Don't drop by to watch.



I will be online after 9PM EST tonight. limited entrants will be allowed, send me friend request now if you think you may want to join in.
