My boys play a lot of basketball over in that area. Livermore, Pleasanton, Hayward, and Dublin this season. I was over there every other weekend for a good chunk of the season.

i live in pleasanton actually, its very dry over here at the moment, actually all of california is

That's four of us within a three hour drive (assuming joby is north of the bay). I'm seeing a pretty good endurance race team that could get together and race from one location.

Fall can be nice here weather wise. I've got a big back yard, two bbqs, horseshoe pits, a fire pit, and a full bar in the converted garage. If there's any poker players in the group, I've got a card table as well.

Hello, I am interested in joining S.N.A.I.L. [Spec] Racing, looks and sounds like a lot of fun. My PSN is Biebs74.

@Biebs74

Here's your official S.N.A.I.L. Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below. Now if you've actually read this, post a :dunce: on the main thread.

6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Lol I think I'm a bit young for poker

OK my combo for this week will be:

Chevrolet Camaro SS Touring Car '10
@
Laguna Seca

PP is 602 and HP 604. This should be on RM tires as it is a race car.

I like this car. Not to good on the track but I'll give it my best. By the way, the PP is 594 before oil change and the tires should be Racing Hard.

I used to live in San Jose/Francisco and I'm back there several times a year. Every so often I get this crazy notion that the Bay Area would be a good place to base a SNAIL chump or lemons enduro team. I'd bet that some of the SoCal guys would be tempted to show up too :)

Ok. Looks like our combos are set. @Xradkins , you have a lap time for your combo?

Round 1
GTR-GT500 Base Model '08 (Racing Hard tires) @ Suzuka Circuit (6 laps) 6 minutes qualifying.

Round 2
Chevrolet Camaro SS Touring Car '10 (Race Hard tires) @ Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (8 laps) 6 minutes qualifying.

Round 3
Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo (Sport Soft tires) @ Circuit De Spa Francorchamps (5 laps) 8 minutes qualifying.

Between the '69 camaro and the '10 camaro, we already did this very combo 3 times!!! Yes, at Laguna Seca...
The general inability to get absolute new stuff goes beyond my comprehension.

@Xradkins is running 1:23's. Most times are in the 1:25 to 1:27.

The owners of the kart may care if wheel bearings start to go out due to the excess weight of the driver. lol.

Edit: I just read their rules. They do have a weight limit and I'm over it.
So go for a morning drive on mines, go karts in the afternoon then BBQ drinks and poker at JL's. Sounds like a good day:)

Socal here/805

Anaheim here.

Santa Monica:cool:

The so cal guys are welcome as well. Maybe we could put together a golf outing to go with it. We do have a pretty nice course locally. Wide open with a lot of risk reward built in. We can always race the golf carts as long as we don't get too carried away.

Ahhh. That's what's up guys...I know dgaf is close too, something should be planned indeed :) maybe some karts and a few beers?
