The round that received the most elimination votes was:

Therefore, the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. @racingchamp30 wins Prize A, and gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Subaru WRX STI Isle of Man '16 (RH) at Alsace Village - S01 Sunset (8 laps)
This means either the car or track will be replaced for next week's line-up. @vovik05 is the Prize B winner and they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @CANOWORMS1 - they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it's confirmed you don't have any penalties.
  • It is recommended you visit SNAIL combo history, along with other data on our car and track history, to review how many times we've raced each car and/or track.
  • Please remember, originality is always appreciated. Although not required, picking cars and tracks we've never raced is a plus.
  • What's more important is, you thoroughly test any combo you are considering, before making it your official selection.
    • For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter, either hard1 or soft2, at any point during a race, even in the draft.

IMPORTANT:
  • When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting.
    • For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98".
    • If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza".
    • Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers.
  • Please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select.
  • For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g.: S01 Afternoon) or it will be set to default.
    • Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

1Hitting the "hard" limit causes the RPMs to "bounce" and reduces torque and speed.
2Hitting the "soft" limit ceases all acceleration potential. Meaning, you're not going to go any faster.

I am asking drivers in both divisions who raced last Sunday to offer a suggestion of new car and track combo, Snail tires and time of day for track that you would like. I will test each suggestion. We are a Snail family and want to include all in this process so all who participated in Snail gets their voices heard. I will test any suggestion Wednesday so you have plenty of time through Tuesday to decide a combo for me to test and decide Wednesday. No rush to suggest a combo for me to test so any and all feels comfortable what you suggest.

Tuesday TT races is on tonight! Based on the actual Time Trial settings in Sport Mode but with a couple of twists in it... All the details are here.

Lobby opens at 7:45pm East, first qualifying at 8:00pm. 25 minutes races with fuel consumption.

Been Snail since 2013 and feels like a family cause we have so many that helps Snail keep going after all these years. Going from alot of divisions to down to two divisions and always progressing and changing so it is natural for me to ask others who do participate whenever i do get Prize A for new combo so your voices are heard in the process.

I tried R1 and R2 from last week and Im about 2 or 3 seconds slower per lap. Cars do feel more stable and predictable at low speeds, especially the RX7.

All combo MDLTs this week appear to be about 2 or 3 seconds slower than posted.

NOTE: Post updated to reflect specification changes from the recent update. The car's Performance Points as well as the Mid-Division Lap Times (MDLT) have been adjusted. Two seconds has been added to the MDLT as testing as shown the cars to now be slower.
 
I think the update broke ABS on road cars. I think Im now faster with ABS off. Its near impossible to lock up the tires. Can someone test it out and let me know what you think?

Edit: race cars on race tires still lock up lol.
And by faster, I talking maybe a tenth per sector, instead of much slower with ABS off. Ive never seen it this way before. And don't compare against pre update lap times as road cars that Ive tested are slower post update.

Maybe it’s just me, and I’ve only messed with GR3 and GR4 cars since the update, but after a couple of hours, I felt like I was able to adapt to the changes easily enough.
Now street cars may be a totally new ballgame, but I have no laps on those since the update.
And yeah, where is everybody?!
 
You can lock up RH tires easily in GR3, but its near impossible to lock up even CS tires with road cars.

I just did the 3rd weekly challenge with the Z performance 23 on CS tires and my fastest lap was with ABS off. 2 tenths quicker than on weak. That should not be possible on Eiger.

And if you want to rotate more, just turn the wheel more to increase the slip angle. I imagine it going to be much easier to drift using a wheel now.
