Speaking of $hells, I'd like to announce that there have been a few new options added to list of ways to earn $hells. First of all, Division Managers (@Oshawa-Joe, @fzappa, @CoachMK21, @joe_diben, @BayouSimDrifter, @aerolite) can all earn $hells for selecting this option:

At 10:00PM Eastern there will be the inaugural Data Specialist/Scorekeeper clinic, hosted by me. There are 3 seats open (PSN only allows 6 in an Audio/Video chat) for this clinic. If you wish to attend please post here that you do and include your PSNID. First come first serve basis. At approximately 9:45 I will check the thread, note who wishes to attend and send out a Friend Request or accept those that have taken the initiative to send them to me. At approximately 9:55 I will send out the chat invites and wait for all to join. The "Clinic" will start shortly thereafter. I do not expect it to last longer than an hour and hope to pass along the necessary information in less than 30 minutes and use the remaining time for questions and open discussion.

You do not need a camera to attend. You should have a way to hear and if you wish to add your own comments or questions to the group, a microphone.

How about a $hell for updating the drivers list? The job is not simply posting that the list is updated. It includes placing all new drivers, balancing and leveling all divisions, and sending out placement messages to all new drivers. In addition, it includes maintaining and updating the drivers list 2 or 3 times a week. It also includes moving all drivers between full time and part time when their attendance warrants it.

Speaking of which, anyone interested in the return of @Rallywagon's Cat & SNAIL event? Based on our schedule, we've got two Friday's out of every month reserved for special events. One is the monthly Race of Champions, and the other is the monthly Concourse Club event. That leaves two Fridays a month that could have other special events planned. 💡

If anyone is interested in creating your own once-a-month SNAIL event, please post your idea here to see if there's interest or to get some feedback from those that might want to participate. 👍

68.5k and change for me and I too have read every single one... Many things have changed and evolved since the Hat Cake days but the constant has always been the heart and soul of our League. @cmbeal317 is the only member that has more races than I and the good nights out weigh the bad ones 100 to 1... Even the most utopian societies get a knotted pair of undies once in a while!

Changing wheel size (can? I think it it always...) keep you out of Tuning prohibited rooms, like SNAIL races.
 
The inaugural Scorekeeper/Data Specialist clinic went off fairly well last night, even if it did go a bit longer than I originally intended. As it was a first, there will of course be tweaks and improvements to presentation and interaction. As PSN is the conference medium though, participation limitations will remain at 6 attendees, to include the host.

It's my thought to do these once a season, so any new folks coming on board can join and, if a veteran feels some refresher information would be good to have, they are welcome to join as well.

It is also my thought that anyone who has attended a clinic I've hosted, may host a clinic themselves, and pass on whatever information they found useful. The idea here is to have a team of "instructors" that can let others know the tips and tricks that have been found to help with data entry and scorekeeping.

I'm not sure which night of the week would be best, as early in the week I'm tied up with Steward duties, especially when prize candidates are being reviewed. Any ideas and suggestions from interested parties will be welcome.
