Glad to see people with iPads can get it now. It still hasn't released on the Play store. Not sure if the device ID can be changed on some of these Android emulators, bit ibhave been working on fixing a tablet my daughter broke the USB port on. Hoping that will work once it's released. I had just laid GT6 and my PS3 on their death beds as well. I guess they get one last hurrah before being put out to pasture...

Hide it in a 2nd page of a folder. She won't notice if you don't tell her.
I would be careful treading that ground. To assume one is not tech savvy because they are a woman, and can be easily fooled by something like that... Dangerous grounds right there.
Searched it on my phone and can't download it :(
I think it is only visible at the moment on a web browser. I'm sure near the last minute the Android version will either be released, tablet only mind you, or completely removed and only available for iOS.

If you read the news on GTP, you would know it's only for tablets. But wait, if you can find it on the Play Store, it means it's out in LA, and all you got to do is spoof your device into a tablet and download it!

Here is a screenshot from my phone

Legends of X Racing

Can one of our gurus please do a header using this. It is a X track series I use to run trying to get them to come to snail :)

Is there an app you can download on the computer coming out or already out? It would be a mistake if they didn't, it looks completely usable with a computer...
No news about it. Closest to it is using an android emulator (when it comes out for android tablets)

There isnt an app for the PC or laptop, but you can emulate android, just not sure if it will work that way yet or not either. Still way way to soon to start saying anything definitively.
Another thought that I dont think is mentioned. Once you make a map, according to the official release, it needs to be uploaded to your PSN account then downloaded onto your PS3 for play, through the GT6 community stuff. The key thing here though, is uploaded to your PSN account. Correct me if I am wrong, but only people with PSN Plus accounts have cloud storage right? So, in order to get your track, not only do you need a tablet, but a PSN plus account as well?

Ok, my first experience with my own track....

  • Creating the basic track - piece of cake
  • Adding the trees, bushes, buildings stands, curbs, etc - easy peasy
  • Saving and uploading/downloading importing it into GT6 - seamless
  • Test run - smooth and exciting (just make sure you choose a good car before you go into the GT6 app to upload the track)
  • Save as a user track - no problem
  • Go to Snail Lobby - loading the track (created in the Sierra area) and drive on it - dissapointing. Frame rate issue - a few times the frame froze for (what felt like) a 10th of a second. Not sure if it is Sierra only. Let us know your experience.
Tracks 1 and 2.PNG

Also: What I saw:
  • Create track data using the Track Path Editor. Using the “Eifel Flat” location, you have the option to import photographs of track maps which you can use to help you trace existing roads and circuits. Raw GPX/KML data can also be imported from compatible GPS devices.

I think that if I can get it on the emulator, it could be much easier to create tracks from track maps that I have on my PC. Height information won't be there, but I could see what could be done about that.

Have been doing some reading. Apple products do not seem to be an issue, Android may or may not work depending on your device. Just because you bought a new shinny tablet recently, do not assume it will work. Trying to locate list of workable tablets, not yet.

This emulator you talk of. To me you are speaking with fork tounge. Can you you give a brief description.

Hopefully this emulator path will work.

an emulator is exactly how it sounds, it is an environment running on your computer, that emulates a different computer. Very popular for playing old NES, Sega and SNES games on computers. That being said ATM, it is not working on any emulators, and only works for a very small handful of android tablets.
I actually have to wonder if anyone on an android device can DL right now. it is only showing one as being downloaded.

This latest update doesn't make a lick of sense. The VGT cars we were expecting didn't get released and then the course maker is only for certain iphone devices. I would say this is the most messed up update by PD thus far releasing a course maker where you can't create courses within the game without using an iphone like the course maker that existed in GT5.

ATTN: anyone looking for a new racing series:

I have been working on a new series and everything is done. The only problem is @FlipJ isn't ready and @zer05ive said he doesn't want me as a series director just yet. He did say I can be co-director. So my question to you all is this: Who would like to be Temporary Series Director for the time being? When FlipJ is ready he will take over with me staying as co-director and you can become another co-director or other high ranking official in the series management.

The idea is 30 minute races with race cars on RH tires. No tuning. Tire wear is on Normal. You won't need to pit, pit lane is closed. No tuning like most of SNAIL. Only the premium race cars that can be painted and/or given a number plate. Tuesday nights. Three races. Time is TBD. Probably a championship. It's a cross between a sprint race and an endurance race. If you are interested in participating or having an important role in the management, please reply to this message or send me a PM.

Thank you for your time and have a great day!

Hey DesertPenguin, so this new race series youre talking about is with completely stock cars, with no tuning setups as well? If thats the case, Id be interested and I might know a couple more people interested as well :)

Yes, spec racing. I just edited the post to include that. I wanted something longer that makes you focus for longer but no pit strategy because that will just spread the field out halfway through the race. I don't want that. The RH tires will easily last all 30 minutes but if you make mistakes and spin a few times they will be slightly more worn than someone that didn't.

Race cars is a bit vague. Could you detail "race car"? What day will it be held? How many races? What time? Will there be a championship or will it be for fun like Pack Racing?

I have not been a person to whine or complain about GT6 releases...even that feature that lets you import real life track times into the game (admit it, it's cool...even if NONE of us can use it). But I have to say that while I am happy they released this (very few people thought they would ever see it), I really don't understand why there is no version planned for Windows.

I am also rather disappointed with the update not having the new Vision GT cars...not even any new seasonals yet...

Is there a day/time for that series? I'd be interested...

I haven't been here much lately, what happened to Sunday Night racing? I don't see any new combos... (Fishslap expected)...

It's a general idea to get people interested. Now that you asked I'll give you details. Only the premium race cars that can be painted and/or given a number plate. Tuesday nights. Three races. Time is TBD. Probably a championship.

So if you're saying premium race cars, I'm guessing you're saying all categories of race cars (from GT1 to Clio Cup)? That's more of what I wanted to know.

The highest PP car that is customizeable in those respects is the Peugeot 908 FDi. If I used it I would be limiting the power a bit to make it more manageable. It's got 730HP and would be much easier to race with if it was near 600HP. I'm also going to use it as an "LMP2" car and limit the power to 472HP, same as the Zytek (as a reference).

On the low end it goes down to the Cappuccino, Mazda Roadster, or 86GT race cars. Those will be fun.

Prize A selection is:

Acura NSX concept '13 @Nürburgring GP/F

Average lap time: mid 2:02 with room for a second or maybe two of improvement

For mid-division, if I am any indication, I suspect we would be looking more like 2'06 for an average lap. (but could just be me being slow.)

The car is an interesting challenge.
