I know I'm a little late but check out the Nixim. I think it has the same type of spring as the gteye but it has an added component; essentially an eraser. You can probably replicate it very easily too if you decide to get the gteye.
One of the problems with the Nixim mod is how GT6 deals with max pedal travel limits. When you first boot GT6 and press the brake pedal, GT6 calibrates the max limit. If you don't press the pedal to its physical limit GT6 calibrates full travel with how far you did press it. You can test it by watching the brake travel indicator. Fresh boot of PS3 and fresh load of GT6, press the pedal halfway or so. The brake indicator/gauge should go full. When you exceed the previous set limit, GT6 re-calibrates. That "eraser" in the nixim mod will break down over time, not to mention probably change with temperature, and provide different physical limits which will in turn cause different limits to be calibrated brake press to brake press. It does provide higher resistance than the GTEye but, if consistency is what you're after, GTEye is the way to go.

Even though chatva raced tonight he can not receive any comments.
if you care to comment on chatva's racing tonight and except "me" (chatva aka thor) to see it then you must post here!
Thanks to @USERID_77a23 for allowing me to race as chatva as thor did not yet have the funds! and thanks to everyone that participated, really!
it was really fun.

Prize Update

The deadline to make a prize C selection has been reached.

All drivers who raced this past Sunday night get one vote to freeze the High End Performance G37 or Rome as it was run. Please vote for the part of the combo you want to keep. A simple "car" or "track" posted in this thread will do the trick.

Please vote only if you raced and only vote once. Keep the chit chat to a minimum to make it an easier task to find and record votes. If you vote twice, neither vote will count. If you edit your post that contains your vote for any reason, your vote will not count. If you didn't race and vote, I will have to bring my fish out of retirement.

The deadline to submit a vote will be noon ET on Thursday. At that time, I will count the votes and post results and our prize B winner can get to testing.

If @DMacs13 should make his selection before the first vote is cast, it will be accepted. Once a vote is cast, he will have forfeited his prize.
Freeze car

Prize A update: I'm deciding between 2 combos
- SRT Tomahawk S (the slowest one) on RM @ Midfield raceway forward
- Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car on SS @ Autumn ring full forward

If you want to help decide because I haven't raced with people at either, buy the cars and hop on. I have a room open.
It really helps to race with others to know what it will be like. Again, the SRT Tomahawks are worthless for racing. You're gonna be working the car more than just enjoying the race. And we used the Nissan recently as well and it lasted a few weeks. Try to pick something completely new.

Also, @JLBowler I want to freeze the car.

Well, I just decided on my prize A choice :D

So, are you going to keep the rest of us in the dark or what? Don't make me start a vote to make your choice for you.:D

DesertPenguin. Since you edited your vote into your post, I'll let it stand. Read some instructions next time.

I wouldn't say it was used recently, maybe more along the lines of within the last year. And if I recall correctly, it was an amazing car to drive, let alone race somebody in... I like the idea of running the base model tomahawk as well, it seemed to be the one closest to reality in terms of physics last time I drove it. Not to mention it looks bad ass :D

I checked and we raced the Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car in November of last year. It feels so much more recent then that but wow. First two weeks and Monza and the third week it went to Rome and was gone. Autumn Ring / Forward was last used a little earlier than the Nissan, October 2014.

I'm definitely curious how it handles around Autumn Ring / Forward. In my list of combos I have the LCC Rocket at Autumn Ring / Forward (and Reverse for that matter) and it's the perfect car for there. Seriously nimble and small dimensions help it fit the smaller track well. It's one of those easy to learn, hard to master combos. I'm hoping the Nissan is similar. I'll check it out tomorrow morning. 👍

I think he's waiting for the voting to subside... his post could be lost among the "millions" of votes pouring in!

I've been on track when he made his decision....it's a doooooozey!

He has already posted twice since the voting started. How hard would it have been to say we are racing Car @ Track . He did go to the trouble to announce his decision had been made. He was also worried about the other prize winner having enough time to pick the remainder of the combo. What about the people who would like to be able to see the combo before practice so we know what we are getting ourselves into?

Edit: When I got prize A I was put on the clock and had to have the combo picked by 9:30et on Wednesday. I didn't get the extra half day to decide.

It's all about who you know...rules don't get enforced equally to everyone here...

Voting is now closed.

By a score of 19 to 13, the High End Performance G37 is frozen.

@Jaguara you're up to choose a track.

@MSgtGunny Let's get to announcing your pick. The only reason you still have it is because you posted in the thread that you were testing and that you had made up your mind.

Then I am powerless to grant the fanboy wishes of those who wanted to see a Delorean tribute...

instead we will take the G37 to a track that has inexplicably never before been seen in a SNAIL combo (and no, it is not a Kart Track)...it is the place where Ayrton Senna da Silva recorded his first car racing win .

The track? If you don't already know...

Brands Hatch Indy Circut 1980s version.
