How about a relay race....?
Basic Rules:
1. Teams of 2 or 3 drivers
2. Procedure:
Now you can get creative and add other rules , for example:
- Example: Set # of laps at 3 and specify 3 drivers per team (Team color has to be the same and Driver numbers must be 1, 2, 3 - so, it must be a paintable premium car)
- All teams line up at the SF line
- At the start of the race the first driver of each team starts. The second driver go and line up at the SF line and the other drivers stay out o the way behind the SF line.
- Driver 1 of each team completes the lap without crossing the finish line and tap driver #2 on the back. When driver 2 gets the tap he starts the lap.
- Driver 2 finish the lap without crossing the line and taps driver 3 on the back. When driver 3 gets the tap he starts the lap.
- Driver 1 lines up at the SF line. Driver 3 completes the lap without crossing the line and taps Driver 1 on the back. When driver 1 gets the tap he starts his second lap and the procedure continues until driver #3 starts his 3rd lap.
- Driver 3 completes the lap and cross the finish line. Only the third drivers are allowed to cross the finish line at the end of their third laps. Others must show DNF or their team will be DQ'd
- Results will be the team results
- In this case the equivalent laps will be 9. So, keep in mind the lap times for a track before you specify the # laps or number of drivers per team.
- For a three driver per team event: Specify sum of total PP or HP per team and then the teams can pick any three paintable premium cars where the total sum of PP or HP do not exceed the cap (I think we had a series where sum of PP/HP were capped, so credit to the thinker of that principle)
- Or, teams must be made up of drivers of different divisions
- Or anything you want to add without making it too complicated for teams to organize themselves
I'm just say'n
That's a really neat concept.
