@kcoughlin77

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

I'd like to apologise to everyone for my behavior in the room after the races last night..
The last thing I want to do is lose the respect of my fellow racers.
I'll try to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future.

@singlepaddy ,it is my humble opinion Sir that you did nothing wrong.

The comment he made in response to me. I won't go into detail but it was unsportsmanlike. Glad you apologized paddy, out of everything last night that's the only thing that truly bothered me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAJOR ,There are a bunch of us with December Birthdays ,@cliff eden was dec.5 and I was on the 15 .I think being born in December makes us faster ,ha ha ha Well you any way ,ha ha ha HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MANY MORE MAJOR :)

Honesty with yourself?

Last night, my experience in D2 was obissmal! When you think you've practiced enough, and your lap times in practice seem good. Finding yourself in a complete shambles throughout the evening is so disappointing. At times, feeling like every mistake is caused by another driver. Humbling today, running through replays, only to find that every mistake and misfortune, fell completely on myself and no one else. My most dissapointing night in snail! So much to learn and conquer, especially amongst the challenging standard in D2. Hopefully this experience will help me grow and develop into a challenger amongst this great group. Thank you to the snail crew, again more to take onboard from these past few weeks, appreciated!

Have a great Christmas Snailers, see you all in 2017. Drive safely out there!

All the very best for the holidays...

Happens to all of us @oharagbr19. Although last night was especially chippy for some reason. We all are getting over our skis and running out of skill at times in D2. We can all improve our racecraft. I was overly aggressive in round 2 and need to work on spacing into braking zones and patience when everything gets hectic.

Hurray my optical encoder is broken :banghead::banghead: Does anyone have an old G27 with a major problem that they can cannibalize and pull the encoder out of?

If you plan on keeping the wheel long term, you're probably going to be better served buying the brass replacement. I'm on the phone and can't link but the site is cmlaserservice.com. At least I think that's the right one. There are links on GTPlanet with instructions and where to purchase.

I'm not planning on keeping the wheel long term due to it's obsolescence with the PS4 and won't be able to purchase the brass encoder until after christmas.

Oh and yes that is the right site

Does the dfgt use the same wheel? I might have one of those laying around.
