@THRASH specified as follows:

Prize A:
Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo
1,626 HP 3,086 lbs.
$1,000,000 (sorry)
Blue Moon Bay Speedway
13:00 Fine Weather
Racing Medium Tires
AVG Lap Time 36.000

Horsepower, weight and credits should clarify the doubt.
Credits are the same, and I only look at the other numbers if there are more than one. these are not even in the same room. So call me an idiot for not checking , I don't care. Maybe I was the only one on this side of the mississippi that did not know there was two of them. Sorry

I could not enter using this ID

Don't know why, those are the numbers that were given to me when i opened up the room and have about 4 total in room.

Edit: 0475-4259-9948-3425-0820

I was one digit wrong my apologies. It usually starts with 0474.

Yes and yes. They don't go faster per se, just less time lost shifting. The shifter is much more substantial feeling than a G27/29 shifter, it's advertised as being 90% metal. It also has a feature to use it as a sequential shifter as well like the G25s. You can miss gears though, so beware of that. Last thing is the clutch can't be used on any car with a DCT or SMG, you can still use the shifter to select the gear though.

Much appreciated thanks

In this week's Sport C race, if I'm in P1 and P2 is using a shifter, they beat me to the first corner at the start. They appear to gain with every shift down the back straight and can easily catch/pass. I just wait for a missed shift and take the position back. I've been lucky enough to always have them miss a shift.

As far as how much quicker the lap times could be with a shifter, I'm going to guess about a tenth saved with every shift. I believe there are 6 upshifts in a lap at Tsukuba, but 2 are on short straights and 1 is just before braking. I'm thinking it would be worth 4 or 5 tenths. Maybe more.

Would be fun to test it out.

But add in that GTSport has the most embarrassingly awful clutch physics model, and you'll have a hard time conducting a solid test. Missed shifts are near impossible to avoid with their practically digital clutch model. I've commented on this before, but since GTSport has never eluded to addressing the issue, I feel this horse has a great deal of life left in it. So I'll continue to beat it every chance I get.

I'm actually a huge animal lover that would never abuse a living creature. Just using an oddly acceptable euphemism.

I’m assuming that you’ve tried it , if so with what manufacturers shifter , and does the manufacturer have anything to do with the miss shifting. Is the miss shifting do to driver error or game glitch. Thanks for your help
I have a g29. I know I'm not shifting perfectly but at least other games will still complete the shift. I dont miss shifts irl so I dont think it's me:P

This is a dramatization of actual events as seen in John Wick . No animals were harmed in the making of this clip:

Manual shifting.... (I have a G29 wheel with G27 shifter)

I grew up with manual cars, so I am very comfortable driving manuals in normal day to day situations. I also had no problems when I drove a Baja Rally car on a dirt track in Cabo San Lucas

When I started with sim racing I started with left foot braking and now, for the love of me, I can drive it in manual to save my life. I do try from time to time and this is what I found:

1. If I use the shifter without the clutch then the speed of shifting is the same as with the pedals. In some cars the time to shift from 1st to 2nd is the same as it takes an 18-wheeler

2. When you use the clutch you can speed up the shifting and it will be as fast as you can successfully execute the shift. H O W E V E R...... It looks like the clutch has to be 100% compressed for the shift to happen. If your timing is out by a fraction you will end up in neutral. You cannot engage the next gear unless the clutch is pressed down 100%. So, what happens is that you get a good pull away with the clutch and then when you shift to second you end up in neutral if your timing is slightly out.

mmm... maybe it will work better if you map one of the steering wheel buttons to be a clutch..... I should try that and see what happens

I never seem to have any missed shifts on the upshifts, it's only the downshifting, trying to heel-toe that I seem to miss the gear and end up in neutral. As Rednose stated, the clutch needs to be nearly 100% to act correctly or it forces a miss. Its a shame GT Sport cannot correct this, because it certainly adds to the immersion rowing it on your own. Assetto Corsa is a great example of a good execution of this. Suprisingly,I found on AC, I was faster running manually with a clutch than paddle shifting, because it seemed that it forced me to set up and brake earlier for corners, giving me much better exit speeds. Wish GT Sport had this right, because I would use it alot more than I do. Btw, I'm on a G29.

Does this mean you’re back!!?????

I havent loaded GT in a month and just wanted to check out the new updates and see how the new combos are. Had a few SNAILS join which was nice.

Porsche combo is a handful thats for sure.

Bugatti on Bluemoon should be interesting. PSA: Dont forget to brake earlier than normal heading into T1 if you're in the draft ;)

During the September Season we had 16 people sign up for SNAIL 👍

@NAFARIOUS_ @ConnorWolf @FT_RAMONOXI @FBR_Steve @Crispycurtis @llNovall @chevy_usa1101 @abm89 @N38824r @diehard racer @LLOYDZELITE69 @Thewatcher @McTrucker @Wolfsatz @Bologna_Duc @Dagmyers

Good luck to everyone in the season finale tonight

I experienced that when I ran G27 pedals with my G27, but now With my Fanatec clutch pedal (which has a lot of feel) , I only need about 15%- 20% pedal depression to execute a clean shift & I do not miss unless my timing is completely off.

G27 clutch pedal might as well be a stage 3. It was either in or out with little room for error. @Rednose58

Ive noticed many times when cars that can use manual are selected for sport races, manual shifting will be disabled.
