@JLBowler there may be a fuel issue with prize A . I ran 2 races @ 19 Laps and 2 of 3 drivers ran out of fuel on lap 19 both times, As fuel mapping is a tuning issue what do you propose?

Run 18 ? maybe some D1 guys should test.

Work around would be short shift to save fuel.

I've proposed a solution to the BoD. There should be a discussion and then an announcement made before practice on Thursday.

Toying with an idea of a “cat and mouse” fun like idea. Wondering your thoughts. So we have 2 teams. One team starts the race going forward and the other starts and goes backwards. It would be a not holds race. Anything goes. Except you must be snail spec car rules. Tires and all. Your full team doesn’t have to go the same direction as you but drafting would be key as the first attempt at this would be at Sarthe. The winning team would be the team that has a single car cross the line first. What do you guys think?

There is talk about possible ghosting when going backwards. We will see if that happens.
 
Forgive me for coming late to the party, but last night I discovered (amongst a few other things) that you can actually turn down the tire squeal significantly to where it is only whispering in the background. Go to your sound settings in the main Options Menu and move the slider to -5. If I am the last one to discover this, shame on you for not telling me earlier.... Finally I have some peace and tranquility:sly:
 
There were at least two posts regarding VR headset [a couple pages back]. If you ever get to use the VR headset, you will never want to race with the TV or monitor again. It is absolutely insane. I haven’t hooked up my VR headset recently. A few updates ago, PD opened up time trials for the VR. But in the post a day or two ago somebody said something about racing with the VR. Is there something available racing against AI drivers?

Have you played Dirt: Rally in VR? It's insane. Imagine driving through a thick forest as the rain is pouring down. At night. At the end of a stage like that my heart is racing and I'm actually out of breath.

There is a really lame AI race available but you can beat them with eyes closed. They have time trial now too. That's all. I took both the Bugatti and the Porsche out in VR yesterday and it was fun. One day maybe we can race live in VR.

Dirt rally is a much better VR experience than GTS. You can actually play the whole game in VR as opposed to a couple modes.

Dunno about errbody else but those squeals are the only indication I have of understeer

I have not played Dirt: Rally since 2006 (give or take a few years). Back then (Dirt 3 I think), I told my two young boys that if they beat any of my times on any stage, any course, that I would buy them a new [er] dirt bike. They had no chance. Those two are grown up now and I have a third (younger) boy but none of them care one iota about racing. It must skip a generation.
Oh and thanks, now you gave me the bug to do rally again. My wife will NOT be happy. Sim racing is not real, you know.
