In reading the posts from the last 3 weeks, there is one situation in particular I found upsetting.

...thinking that you bought yourself some free pass from any critiquing of your life's choices because "it's not relevant to the thread".

This line sums up what I feel is a problem in this thread that turns up from time to time...not only that some people feel entitled to critique the personal choices of others, but that they feel this is an appropriate place to do so.

In my opinion this thread should not involve "critiquing the life choices of others" for any reason. If you have a problem with someone else's life choices, please keep it to yourself...most of us simply don't want to hear it.

IMHO this thread should maintain an atmosphere that is welcoming to all persons that share a common goal - clean racing. Period.

...yeah, if only you had actually read through the conversation instead of honing in on one sentence and missing it's point entirely.

I beg to differ, I had read all of the previous posts. That one sentence summed up the problem quite well, actually.
Nope, because if you have you would've noticed that what I said had nothing to do with "allowing others to critique" and everything to do with "not allowing selective criticism"

I do not currently have access to the public D6 replay upload folder, if someone could please send me the access to it that would be great. My gmail is "gavinedde@gmail.com".
Then that's not the public folder that's the D6 folder, Although yes you do need access to the D6 folder put it into the public folder to meet the deadline some one will move it for you!

There is no public folder on the side, this is what the drive just looks like right now and I can't place the zipped folder anywhere:

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) '02 (Sports: Hard) at Mid-Field Raceway / Reverse (8 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @kickenit4evr wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - High End Performance G37 (Sports: Soft) at High Speed Ring / Forward (10 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Rednose58 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @CanuckleheadII so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
Dealership Cars - The maximum price for a selected car is now $1,000,000
DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Track Selection Guidelines
Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.

Hey guys!!! Here's a shot of the best battle I was involved in from Sunday night.
That's @JamCar0ne (low side) drafting by me (high side) at end of the front straightaway to take the lead. @McTrucker can be seen coming up not far in the background.
I lead for 9 laps...my best chance for a win that night, until these guys put me in my place and I ended up third...lol

Although it was a very low turn out it was good times nonetheless!!!

War Thunder would be the game. Lots a fun too, just lots and lots of grinding to get about the first two tiers, which is really where I like to fly anyway. I've been playing a lot of arcade mode, but I may look into making some custom battles to mirror real life engagements.
Also, you might wanna revisit the flight stick thing if you still have it. Someone might have came along and made a new batch of drivers. Given the state of sims these days, someone probably did something about it.
I was playing that with my son a year ago...flying with a mouse is strange...but it was fun. Never got the hang of how people were able to get those 1-hit-kills all the time - I always had to shred half the plane to take it out...lol

I had checked into drivers for my stick a while back. I couldn't find drivers for the old joystick ports/cards, and my one USB stick is one of the ones that will not work on Win7. If it was one hardware revision newer, it would have been fine. :(

In arcade, the one hit kills are generally coming from fighters that have 20mm or bigger rounds, planes like the p400 or the mustang. But, while I do enjoy arcade, the real fun is in realistic or simulation battles, or setting up custom battles.
What stick do you have perchance? Mousing is fun and all for arcade, and can be used in realistic, controlling a plane with one starts to get dodgy here. In realistic to an extent, and in simulation for sure, you need finer, proper control. To much input to the ailerons or rudder will really upset its attitude.

No and I put up over 100 laps in practice. You think I would have hit it at least once. Then again my powers of observation could be off. Only now I see I can listen to a duck quack by clicking on your signature
Haha, thats funny, I just noticed that yesterday too.
And to add to the current conversation, I have not hit that bump, but I have heard of it, and other weird little glitches. GT5 and 6 have some odd physics glitches. One of the first times we did cat and mouse as a group, we were playing at daytona RC and I followed Zer0 off the course at the bus stop and slammed into him into the the barrier. Zer0's car hopped straight up about 30 feet or so into the air.
Funny physics is kinda what got me into racing sims. My first real racing game memory, aside from the first time I watched a car explode in pole position and the tire bounce off track. I was about 5ish and the game was still pretty new. Anyway. I think it may have been the original GT, on High Speed Ring (this was a very long time ago and its a bit of a fuzzy memory) and I came in to the corner to hot, hit the wall and my car ended up on its nose spinning like a top sliding for what seemed like a quarter mile down the straight. I died laughing at the sight and have been hooked ever since.

Edit, I can also remember playing a lot of this game.

Can you actually feel it, because I've never noticed it or do you only see it in the replays?

It was just a weird feeling. No bump or noise or anything. Just a sudding feeling of lift-off and tilt and then back down and a "What the hack was that?". For a moment I thought I lost it. It was lap 9 on the first race and I had a 2 second lead at that point. You can imagine my thoughts when I came around for the last lap....If you have access to D2 replays you can look at it. C2R1 Lap 9 and about 16 or 19 seconds into it.
