Let's not forget Juan Pablo's crowning achievement in Nascar. When he smashed into the jet dryer! I remember telling my buddy, "that's something I would do.":lol:

I really enjoyed all the combos tonight. The Camaro on the the oval was a nice change of pace. It's going to be hard voting one off.
It was also nice to have a good turn out for practice...I got too race against some old familiar faces, a sorta blast from the past you might say!!!
As always thanks @racingchamp30 for your hospitality and good luck to everyone on Sunday.

Anyone that could be the division winner for the week should be aware that they could get a prize. That means keeping an eye on the thread a bit closer than usual. Everyone should have a good idea of who will be finishing near the top for the night.
Ouch! O.k., O.k. I'm sorry...will try to race a little slower this week...lol

Hey, this made me think...proxy prize selection. You don't want to be bothered to test out or pick a prize...or maybe you don't visit the forum often for whatever reason...just select an active proxy player to choose your prize if you ever win.

Now, if any of you are not sure who to choose for your proxy...I am sure @DesertPenguin09 will volunteer...we all know he has LOTS of suggestions! ;)

LMAO!

Hahahaha like give everyone a back-up buddy so if one of the two doesn't reply in time, it goes to the other.

In my mind I'm thinking the back-up buddy would be privy to all info the main driver has and vice versa. This way if one isn't there the other knows what that first guy was gonna do and can post it for them.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I kind of like the way it is set up now. Letting all of the drivers of the division have a voice. I believe if it is a Prize A, the division members all put in a suggestion. Then everyone in the league gets to vote.

If people were given the ability to pass their prize, I think it should go to either the next placed driver in the division. Only downside to that, is that means someone with fewer points could be picking a higher prize than the other prize winners.

Another option could be to have everyone deem themselves either ready or not ready to be chosen as a prize winner if they earn it, and prize winners can be announced taking that into account. That means that the top 3 performers may be dofferwnt from the 3 winners. This should help accelerate the process, and prevent slowdowns from slow picks. Just my 2 cents.

I think the prize selection system is fair and pretty much unbroken.
Guys, it was just a joke...not really meant for serious consideration. As Falango points out it raises other issues. I just had this image in my mind of @DesertPenguin09 being the proxy prize selector for like 1/2 of the league...and it cracked up my twisted mind.

I was just throwing a thought out there too. This is a league that uses a forum as it's first, and main source of contact, information, and data, so members should be expected to visit it often. With that expectation, our prize process works well.

Guilty as charged...I will attempt to visit the site more often...I think the system is good the way it is and have faith in my fellow drivers should they need to make a call on my behalf. Only thing is I travel a lot & if I were to win a new car / track combo (Prize A), it's sometimes difficult for me to run trials to ensure a good combo...

REVISED! "and have faith in my fellow drivers (with the exception of Penguin) should they need to make a call on my behalf." Sorry Penguin...couldn't resist...

Announcement regarding Sunday night schedule.

At the suggestion of @Rednose58 and approved by all members of the SNAIL board of directors, this weeks qualifying will be set to 5 minutes in length for all combos. Rednose58 will, if he hasn't already, be updating the schedule grid with the correct information.

At present time, this is only a change for this week. It is, however, something that could be considered for future use.
