The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - RENAULT SPORT CLIO R.S. 220 EDC TROPHY 2016 (SH) at Autodrome Lago Maggiore - West - 11:30 Fine Weather (9 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @gatordaryl wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - ALFA ROMEO 4C GR.3 (RH) at Tokyo Expressway - East Inner Loop - 14:55 Clear (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @JamCar0ne gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Grandpa Money so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

The IR Submission Form is now closed.

We have 1 incident on file. Target deadline for reviews is NLT 10PM Eastern on 8/20/21.

@gatordaryl @JamCar0ne @Grandpa Money are all clear to make their choices. Please be advised that if @JamCar0ne chooses to pass the freeze, we will have two repeat prize winners and that will mean two voting and suggestion processes to run.

Gentlemen and Lady,

I am having to make some difficult budget decisions lately. Cutting back is always hard when push comes to shove.

Consequently, am going to have to cut way back on the costs associated with maintaining the GTS subscriptions, Internet level required for gaming, and obviously the electricity usage. Hard to break an almost 10 year addiction, but it is unavoidable.

Depending on the moment that the Internet change is made, I may or may not be racing Sunday night.

Thanks to all the Folks that I have met and raced with in and around SNAIL. Hope GT continues with a larger slice of the SIM Racing pie.

Wow Jack I really don't know what to say! I totally understand your situation and decision and I know it is a difficult one. I can honestly say that you are a huge reason for me personally, staying involved with Snail for as long as I have. When I was struggling and not staying consistent, it was your kind words of encouragement and helpful tips that kept me from giving up.
I'm very sure that many in this group could echo the same sentiments and have also been fortunate enough to get to know you, as well as learn from you, as I did.
Snail and GTSport will likely continue for years to come but it will never be the same without you here buddy! The Blue and White #36 American Racing Wheel car will always have a special place here at Snail.
Take care Jack and please continue to check in on the forum if you're able to and say Hi from time to time.

Jack,

It is with great sadness that I receive this news. I echo DublDee's sentiments wholeheartedly. When I was struggling in my driving and confidence you were a welcome voice of reason and encouragement. On track you are a kind, conscientious, and most importantly for me, forgiving driver. I especially appreciated that every now and then you would have an off-track excursion (on purpose ;)) so that you and I could duke it out at the back of the field. And being 67 years old I was always assured that there was someone out there who was older and better. Something for me to shoot for. Something I will continue to shoot for. Here's to older and better.:):cheers::)

Jack,

I am so very sad to hear this and you will be missed. When I first started in SNAIL you made me feel welcome and took the time to give me tips that helped me to improve.

I sure hope to see you in the lobby again sometime but until then, take care and I wish you all the best!

I have a G29 wheel bought in 2019. The ABS light flickers off and on during races and I can feel the drag. I know it needs to be taken apart and the potentiometer cleaned but I don't want to take it apart without doing a brake pedal upgrade. I've seen the various kits and DIY solutions online but don't want to waste money and time for naught. In a perfect world I'd just replace the whole damn rig and get a DD wheel and pedal set but retirement looms and I can't splurge. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

This worked for Xrad...

YES, This does work. It seems like an expensive approach to solve a simple issue, but after the fix the brake will stay clean. The quality of the parts are very nicely made an assembled. Install is very simple, too. I went with the 60% spring option to be similiar to what came off the peddle. Now it feels like a load cell, but is not. As far as improving ones driving and lap time depends on to many things, but the brake seems like a pressure feel as to a position feel. Best wishes.

Wow...!

One of our original members. Sad to see you had to make the hard decision. You will always be welcomed back if you win the lottery.

I suggest that we "retire" the White/Blue American Racing #36 into the Snail Hall of Fame. AND.......................

Out of respect ...... why don't everyone run their races on Sunday in a 36 White/Blue American Racing livery. We have a few talented content creators that can share some of their art for everyone to use on Sunday.

Taking a stab in the dark for Alsace, based on previous appearances and PF. Set at 1:58 lap time. Will adjust after an updated time.

Edit: Lap times closer to 2:03.... Lap count remains the same

Before you do anything just take out and blow everything out. That works most of the time.
