Thanks a lot for yesterday's races.
It was my first experience. Still trying to figure out how are you guys pulling out 1:19ish at Tsukuba. :))
Hope I didn't cause any trouble at La Sarthe or Nurturing. The Mercedes was indomitable specially with TC 0.
I won't race next weekend but can't wait to meet you all at the very next one.

Lots of practice! My first night racing in this league involved the stupid Honda 2 & 4. I was about ready to throw my playstation out the window that night. As I drove the more difficult cars on a regular basis, I started to get a better feel for the car handling characteristics. The Merc has a lot of roll, which means you will want more subtle braking and turning inputs to keep the car under control. Hang in there, good racing with you last night

You did very well for your first night of racing. The same happens with me where i can be slower with one car/track combo and then faster with the other.

Lots of practice. Lots of patience. It will improve. At least I'm sure my fellow competitors hope "I" will improve, as I am here to file at least 2 IRs on myself for improper conduct last night.

This is a solution I found but haven't used it. It's kind of pricey though, so I decided to just go for the g29.

I use a controller as well. I use X button for Acceleration, Square for braking, left analog stick for steering.

I would say register with wal mart, best buy and other sites as well for alerts when the PS5 will be in stock. That is how i were able to get mine November 22nd last year through best buy getting email alerts and luckily able to get a PS5 disc version. Good luck to all still trying to get one.

Thank you. I were a little messy with the controls when i first started in Snail on GT6 but gotten better over time. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect and practicing on a controller has done better for me. I did try a steering wheel but i am more accustomed to using a controller.
 
I got the same email. What pisses me off is the whole “win the opportunity to spend $500 with us”.

I hate the way they word it but I signed up nonetheless…those bastards!

I'm still on the waiting list for my Ferrari SF90...... they say it might be a few years... Hopefully before the FE100 comes out.

I got my first wheel, Thrustmaster T300RS, used on Craigslist for not much money. It is still working after 2.5 years.
 
I have been extended "an opportunity" to spend $500 tomorrow. That's so nice of them to offer me this golden opportunity to bow at their feet.

I just like to pretend I'm driving the car. To that end a force feedback wheel with cockpit view is the only way for me. Don't know what's faster, don't care. From what I've seen about fast drivers, lawn chairs, orange crates and controllers have all worked. :cheers: 😂 I've tried PGA Tour 2K21, the new free golf game. I like it. I'm not bad. And it ain't golf. I have a pretty good rig now and it's as close as I'm going to get to driving a real race car.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - MERCEDES-BENZ MERCEDES-AMG GT S 2015 (SS) at Nürburgring GP - 17:00 Clear (7 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @gatordaryl wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @gatordaryl has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 1 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D1 drivers from Sunday night start TESTING combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post a good combo when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". It's important to mention that a good combo will not have a car that hits its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft). Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @gatordaryl is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - HONDA S800 1966 (CS) at Tsukuba Circuit - 10:00 Cloudy (12 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @IceWarden gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Timlour so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Your belly ache is hard to take 😁 considering I’m still waiting waiting waiting. PSN+ member since 2004 and I am on the lottery list! I’ve grown into an entitlement era, especially since I can buy it on the government’s money (taxpayer and newly printed [borrowed]).

Prize winners are allowed to choose the time of day for their track selection. If a specific time of day is not selected then the default time of day will be used. (Note: The time of day settings differ between arcade and online modes in the game. Always check the lobby settings when selecting time of day.) In the event that a track is frozen, the time of day will also be frozen with the track.

Please remember that any car and track combo chosen must produce a mid-division lap time that is under 5 minutes. Also note that any selected track will be bound by the SNAIL lobby settings.

Also remember that any car chosen must not hit the rev limiter at any time, even in the draft.

I have been a PSN+ for many years as well but just recently found out about enabling marketing messages in my profile. I did that a couple of months ago and got the email 2 days ago about signing up to receive an opportunity. Then got the email today about another opportunity tomorrow. We’ll see if it means anything…
