Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!​

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing league:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to progress with your entry into the league:

  1. You start a conversation, by clicking this link, and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, llNovall, Akzl298, JamCar0ne & Dragonwhisky as "Recipients".
    1. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".
  2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join SNAIL [Spec] Racing.
  3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Even with the snow storm we got in here, We're racing tonight on the CGV! Our plow truck are very effective...

As usual, lobby open around 9:15pm, first start at 9:30pm, all three combos run twice, half distance (ish) and reverse grid.

Seems ths CGV give a lot of trouble to learn, don't miss your chance to practice it with a bunch of cars instead of lonely.
 
That was an utter and complete blast of fun. All three combos are fun. The least "exciting" one was the Megane. With the GTR, once you dial in the brake oversteer, get the nose pointed where you want it, you can monkey stomp that loud pedal. If BoP didn't neuter these cars for 3 generations of offspring, they'd be even more fun. The Ferrari under BoP is an utter slug off the line, once you get it moving though it reclaims a bit of its removed parts and handles much better than I expected. For being the first time I've ever, ever been around CGV, (not at all like some of our Canadian brethren, one of which may have actually traveled around that track in everything from his feet to watercraft. Not mentioning any names <cough><cough> @bublyman <cough><cough>) I grew to enjoy the gentle curves leading up to 5 chicanes. It's a clockwise oval some psychopath smacked about 10 times with a really big hammer.

I did not save any replays, my apologies.

I gave @DRD_Niagara seven kinds of crap for not using his VR2 scope and just to shut me up he put it on for the last 2 combos. @bublyman is now under a strict, and short suspense to buy himself a VR2 for Niagara and I's birthday on Saturday. SantAmazon FTW there dude! The VR2 collective will assimilate you all!

Now, we just gotta' convince @Kgffy to get off that pad and onto a wheel. ;) :P And oh yeah, I hear @superb3113 has a wheel he don't use. My heart and brain just about broke when I heard that.Why you wanna make a dragon sad man? :( Ya' just gotta commit to submit! 🤣 Yeah, you might be slower as you learn to use the new toys, er, tools, yeah tools, you will get faster and the experience will be more enjoyable in the longer run.
