That's an awesome set up for sure, but I prefer to have my shifter mounted to my desk as opposed to my chair because I use my chair for work and league stuff a hundred times more than do for racing. However, I think there's definitely a number of guys who would love to have their shifter mounted to their office chair. After all, that's what I was originally looking to do and only gave up after not being able to find an available solution that I could buy.

And while the mount that @OwensRacing built you is great, he'd have to get someone's measurements before building the same thing for someone else. However, what if he could build a shifter mount that could be mounted universally to anyone with an office chair? For example, by using the same mounting system as the ButtKicker Gamer 2. Not only could that shifter mount to any chair with a seat post, but it would allows sim racers to mount their H-gate shifters next to their leg, regardless of which way the chair turned. Might be able to sell a few units of something like that! 💡

I don't have the shifter arm mounted to my chair for the majority of the week. Takes me about 15 seconds to take it off or put it on. The bar that mounts to the chair and hence the arm the shifter mounts to, has 1 bolt that secures it. I drilled a hole through both bars and put that silver pin in to keep it from moving around laterally when gear jamming. I use the same chair for my work at the computer as well and while I can leave the shifter arm attached to it while doing so, it makes the chair position a little awkward, so I take it off when I'm going to work at the computer.

Very interesting Beal! Awesome ride!I posted this pick for my good friend Dr Green yesterday! I took this pic last summer at my car clubs show. I know he's drooling over this!

I saw one last year too! The other cars you posted are even more incredible! I've seen a 330 GT 2+2, but I've yet to see a Dino 246. Maybe this year. :)

Since we've gone from the topic of Lotus/Caterham 7's to Morgan 3 Wheelers, and now to Ferraris, I might as well share the rarest Ferrari I've ever seen.

Oh, and the 1970 Le Mans Second Place finisher with a couple of friends.

Caterham Seven Fireblade '02 567PP/165HP (w/oil change)
Looks like this combo will go 6 laps. D1 may knock it out in less than 10 if they all run 1:40s though.

Looks like this combo will be in Round 3 @zer05ive

I have to get a huge thank you out to all of the Team S.N.A.I.L. members! With nine divisions mixed in with all of the connectivity, replay failures and all of the other gremlins roaming around, you all kept the machine in motion and we pulled off another successful League night.

I also want to thank @wvhellbilly , @Sharkb8ii and @CCraft for looking out for D8 by covering the vital duties needed to keep their division racing!

Most of the key roles are under control but we still have a few divisions that are still light on Team SNAIL members. D5 and D6 are really in need of more personnel. If you have a little free time and want to earn a few $hell along the way, follow the link below and check what is available for your division.

Awesome museum. You ever go to their demo days when they fire some of those bad boys up?

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get down there when they have the demo days yet, I'd like to attend at least on this year.

after a quick re tune on the break balance system, I finally managed to come down to 2:14 with the little Dino after some 8 laps that i just couldn't get anything below 2:16 and a lot of guardrail kisses. I'm hoping that tomorrow, without the work weight on my shoulders be able to cut another second per lap.

It may seem to be not that good, but I think the weather may have something to do with it.

I'm not specifically asking to be a host or a backup, but I think I could be in the roster.

Fun time tonight at Monza. Although I hit a 2:11.7 in arcade mode my best tonight in the lobby was 2:13.1. Brake balance 5/5. The fastest qualifying time I saw by someone was 2:12.5. I was running mostly low 14s during the race with the occasional 13 if I wasn't looking in my rearview.

We discussed the brakes a bit in the room. I know some drivers get set on thinking the balance is the issue...but I found about 50-75% brake pressure on most of the brake zones is all that is necessary to produce fast laps. Lightning laps? No, or at least I'm not that good...but if someone hasn't hit a 2:15 yet, try using less brake pressure, finish all your braking at least a few yards before turn in, and coast into the chicanes and get on the gas as soon as you pass the first apex.

It is actually a pretty good balance. I think you could pull off a host pretty well. My speeds aren't as good as yours and I have managed to host from time to time. @TEX36 and I would really enjoy having a back up Host! I will add you to the roster and your number may be up sooner than you think!! Thank you for your participation.

I believe this message should be directed towards @ExoSphere64 but I am the Scorekeeper and Data Specialist for D7, and it does not show me on the list. Can you fix this please?

That is so weird... I am looking at the sheet right now and I see you listed as such for D7. Are you looking HERE? If you still don't see your name listed, let me know and I can ask @kcheeb if he knows what we are doing wrong.

Try testing to a server across the country and see what the ping is with increased distance. 5ms is a good number but it's in your own backyard so to speak. You really want to be under 100ms to a server across the country.

I am usually between 80 and 90 ms across the country (I'm in CA). For the record, my ping will usually be between 250 and 300 when using a server in Brazil. The distance is just too far and the technology down there may not be what we have here.

Sucks about the connection issues.

Ran tonight's Daytona 2.4 and pulled down a 5th. Had 3rd wrapped up but screwed myself on fuel. So had to swap to engine map 2 and save gas. Which is about 1-2 sec a lap slower.

42 cars on track tonight. Over 700 people raced.

Got one tomorrow at 3pm and again 8pm. Then again Sunday at 7am. I'll make the 3pm race for sure. Doubt I'll make the 8pm. Really takes it out of you.

I'm gonna tinker with getting the race on YOUTUBE Sunday.

From NY to Cali

I tested TX and FL and the ping was 140's for both. Looks like no hosting for me.

If I have nat 2 and someone else has nat 2 why is it sometimes we can't see each other?
