I don't think I'm going to make it tonight. Just got off work and traffic's nasty. And I've got to have surgery on Friday so I don't know how soon I'll be able to play again. Bummer deal

Well, talk about a s h i t t y night. :lol::lol:

Had fun tonight with lots of laughs, even if i was the one we were laughing about. If you can't laugh at yourself, you are doomed to a life of boredom.

Good combo Rednose. Would have been better if Mike and Steve did not take me out. :sly::p:sly:

Yes, when all is said and done it was an enjoyable night. But it didn't feel that way until the start of the third lap of the last race.....

First race I joined the pitlanedumbphuck club (PDC for short) by forgetting to press the pit limiter

Second race I was pushed into the wall and was so pissed off that I wanted to say my goodbyes for the night.

Third race I decided to "phucky'all ye motherphuckers" and I will show you how it is done - my combo - my race. Qually was good with the 2:18.1xx, but then came the pileup after turn 1 and there I go again - dead phuckin last and 13 seconds behind @SGETI . Got by @aerolite and @Alex ONeill , just to spin out again and now I lost all 6 seconds I made up on sgeti and started the chase again. Sorry sgeti, but it was good news for me when you were stuck in the ****lane (i mean pitlane:lol:). And thanks @yogi bear for putting a wheel on the grass to slow you down enough to let me pass on the last lap. As
Ricciardo
said after the F1 race that sometimes you get a lot of disappointments, but one good race always makes you want to come back for more.

Thanks guys - almost always fun in the Loblounge:cheers:

Yup it was a good night and combo. Some wicked bit of guys for whoever caused that crash and pile up at the onset of race 3 though. Was going so well I saw the crash ahead...said to myself..."Self, ah haaa you have them now" just as I thought I would have avoided the mayhem and then WHAMMM some devil car landed right in front on me and that was that....so much for my high hopes of position one. I beat Rednose though so Ha!
Was sure a fun night though. Great car, track and mix up of weather conditions. Quite enjoyable. Cheers.

Poor Lobbie though for getting disconnected again. I felt your pain. What happen to that to that fancy Fanatec boy?

Thanks again to @Rednose58 for the combo, sorry it was a crappy evening for you, but glad you got a bit of redemption at the end. One advantage of the nights when we have the faster starting cars at the front, is less chance of incidents at the start. With all of us mixed up at the starts last night, it showed how much more the chances of screw ups can occur. Btw Red, I love the PDC Club,

After joining us back in week 31 (Nov 6), and garnering a total of five 2nd place overalls in that time, @CB_racer finally pulled of the overall group A win last night. Yay CB, 👍👍
And a good night for Yogi "I hate modern cars" Bear, who must have kept that wide ass of his well placed all night,:D

And @SGETI, I'm sure that shower must have felt good after the races last night :yuck: :D

See you all next week.

Congrats to @CB_racer, this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the Group A win
Congrats to @yogi bear, this weeks "Mr. Baawesome" for the Group B win

I'm starting to like some modern cars, the ones without all the fancy doodads.

Forgot one thing. Gutters gave me a nice little battle towards the end of Race 3. That was sure fun. Cheers bro.

And Bear, you really turning up the heat boy. I been taking note of your superior racing skills especially these last couple weeks. Cheers to you too.

Yes, great racing Shaun, and I also had a few good battles for a lap or so here and there with Mike et al. Great job David, especially holding off Gutter and I during race 3.
Apologies for losing my orientation at the start of race 2. In my bumping I don't know if I knocked anyone off, but I probably caused others to do so.
Also, Apologies to Steve for race 1 into Eau Rouge. My indicator and coach told me car left for Bear, then showed 'clear' and I went for the apex. When I watched my feed, the arrow turns red again as you come beside me, and I never saw that because it all happened so quickly.

Good times

Thx David, it's all dependant on the track/car combo. Sometimes they just click. I've noticed you are also getting faster.

Thanks Bear and GT. I'm trying. Still have a good ways to go to catch up with you aliens but I'm sticking in there like a good soldier. Have to confess, I do get despondent most times with my finishing positions and sometimes I feel like giving up but this lobby is so fantastic with a great bunch of guys especially including the camaraderie, personality and all round good sense of humour I can't give up on you guys and to me our lobby is the most interesting. Hats off to Aero and lobbie and the guys for making it so.

If you ever want me to share a set up, I'll be happy to share. And all of us bobs are happy to help in any way we can. You might find it fun to join in wogs historic racing after our Monday race. If someone wipes out or falls behind too much, we call a caution, bunch everybody up again, and away we go. It makes for good practice running door to door clean racing. He usually starts it 15 minutes after the Monday league ends.

No, no, no! No giving up on us David. It wouldn't be the same league without our official leader of prayers! I love how passionately you start the prayers too. I'm totally looking forward to getting back in the mix this coming Monday. Who knows, maybe we'll even see a combo I chose.

We are making a few changes to the Groups driver wise. I have been crunching some numbers as each week Group A has seemed smaller. The average over the last 10 weeks has seen two less drivers in A. We are going to even out the numbers and see what happens over the next little while. Now the question was, who do we move around. To eliminate any sign of favoritism or whatever, I have done up a spreadsheet for Group B to calculate each drivers average finishing position since we changed to PCars2. Whether you have raced every week or only a half dozen, the numbers are what we are going with. It doesn't mean however, that a few weeks down the road we won't make another change if a B driver starts dominating.
Remember this is a casual fun night, so no whining when you get moved around. :D

Here's the rankings as of our last race:

Yea, I have a feeling there's a couple of newer guys that will have averages dropping fairly quick!
In the meantime, keep up the Mr. Baawesome bragging, we need to hear more of that each week, because remember, if it was Lobban we wouldn't hear the end of it :D

I knew I should have sandbagged.. LOL should be fun!

I like the idea of guys moving up/down. Means there’s someone new to race with. I guarantee the B guys that got moved to A will become faster, because they have a new ‘carrot’ to chase.

I was actually thinking today after reading about the shuffle if perhaps we could switch an A and a B guy around each week, and not counting them in scoring to make things easier on our scorekeeper @aerolite. What this would do is allow guys that don’t normally race together due to different cars to do just that, and it would give the B guys a rabbit to chase and learn from.

Having someone faster to chase and feed off of is how I got quicker, learning from mistakes, making mental notes on where and how the car ahead is faster and applying it to your own driving is so important.

Just something I thought about, might be worth a shot!

Now hear this....now hear this.... mr. Baawsome bear... the one and only yogi bear... has been moved up to A group for his baawsome driving skills....
...how's that?

Boy, didn't take long for Bear to become a Bore...

Just kidding, well done my ursine friend! I dream of the day that I get to be a bore as well...

@RobbiefromBC - it'll take more than a carrot to make ME faster...say, Emilia Clarke at the finish line....

We will be moving drivers a bit more from now on to try and keep each group numbers close. As long as there is always another driver to chase that will help.
In the real world and sim world it will always help if your competing against faster guys all the time. We used to combine Amateur and Pro class when I was racing GP bikes. Trying to follow a faster guy helped, but I found talking with them helped the most, having them explain what, how and when they were doing different things. But to me, the biggest thing of all is "time in the saddle" as they say. The former doesn't help much unless you can apply it on a consistent basis. And it applies in the sim world as well, I know I'm not going to get much quicker now unless I spend more time racing.

I'll be there if there's room. Put me down as a reserve please
Already have you as a reserve Chris, all you need to do is let me know week to week if you want to race. See you next week.

I agree, having the motivation an dfocus of catching someone ususally helps me produce faster, more consistent times.

Once I looked her up and realized who that is.......oh ya..........
Yeah, she can be my queen and conquer me anytime...
There's a bunch of movie trucks at the mall here, and I told Janice I remembered hearing that The Rock was coming to town for a movie. She swooned that he was her 'star pass', and I told her I could completely understand! Anyway, she asked who my 'star pass' is, and my immediate response was Daenerys (Clarke). My other choice, which surprised her, would be Rhea Seehorn - Kim Wexler on 'Better Caul Saul'.

When I was instructing, I occasionally had a student who had a hard time getting a good landing. The key is to look at the end of the runway, so I would joke with some of them to remember to look for the hot chick at the end of the runway....
Time for me to take my own advice and imagine Clarke and Seehorn at the entry, apex and exit of every corner and the finish line!

Is there any openings available. I would like to get involved if possible. Can start next Monday if an opening is available in the B class. Will run A class if that is all that is available. As of now would only miss 1 Monday a month, but work schedule does fluctuate.

Hi Brian, welcome to the Lounge, please send both Mike, @Mike Lobban and myself, @aerolite a friend request so we can send you an invite on race night. If you haven't already, please read the first few posts of this thread, the first paragraph in Report #1 is the most important. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
I will start you out in Group B.
