LMFAO!!!!!!!!
I elect @Rednose58 the xtra point of the night before the race even begins.

After driving Azure, Long Beach is like driving around in a parking lot!Did a few quick practice laps at Long Beach and Azure. At LB it was actually quite a blast and not too difficult to keep it from the walls and still keep some momentum. At Azure, however, it is a different story. In traffic.... well, all I can say is that @SGETI will be in his element, as I can see a lot of $h1t happening.....![]()
Id like to throw my hat into the ring so to say.
Welcome to "The Lobanaro Lounge".
We are a group of like minded clean racers who just want a fun night of good race craft and good banter. We are not that serious and not a very politically correct room, so if you don't have a thick skin and can't handle some good natured ribbing, then this might not be the place for you! At the same time, we will not put up with anyone who disrespects another on track, or one who does not follow good race craft protocol. If you would like to join us, post in this thread and tag both myself, Aero, @aerolite and Mike, @Mike Lobban .
When:
Monday nights at 8 pm EDT.
What:
Each week is a clean slate, points will be awarded, but only for bragging rights over the next week.
Each week we will supply a car for each group (A&B), and the track where we will be racing. (report#2)
Every once in a while we will run a different format just to change things up.
Tuning - Yes
Format:Main Settings:
Two Groups, A & B, each in a different car, racing in one room. Three 30 minute races. Lobby opens at 8pm est. (invites go out at 7:45) 8:00 to 8:45 – Qualifying for Race 1 (All Qualy's are set to the following race conditions). Race 1 (8:45) – 30 minutes - Standing start, grid set from Qualy. 10 min Qualy for Race 2 Race 2 – 30 minutes – Standing start, grid set from Qualy. 10 min Qualy for Race 3 Race 3 – 30 minutes – Standing start, grid set from Qualy.
Damage – Visual Only Mech Failures – OFF Tire Wear – Authentic (can change depending on track and car) Fuel – Real Penalties - ON
Mandatory one pit stop. All cars must start with the weeks announced max litres of fuel, or less if desired, (this will change each week). We will be able to tell if anyone has set fuel higher by the extra laps done. Up to you to figure out how much fuel is needed for the rest of the race. Tires should last but there will be some wear, it is up to you if you want to change them or not.
We will start exactly on time, if you can't make it on time please just wait and join for Race 2.
Active/Reserve drivers.
Active drivers have priority to get into the race, up until 8:30 pm on race night.
Any driver who we consider part time will be on the Reserve list and will not get an invite on race night. You will need to let us know, preferably by 7pm on race night, if you want to join and we will send you an invite. List is in Report #4.

Can't wait for Monday. LOL. I be having my popcorn and beer ready.
I agree with that Shaun, braking into the first corner at both tracks needs to be exercised with extreme caution, and just take it easier for the next few corners as well. You need to be extra careful braking with these cars anyway, so there is no point to running into somebody. More than any other race, you need to treat your car like it’s worth a million bucks to you.Never mind the popcorn - get your butt in that car and DRIVE!
I'll say it now - I'm very excited about tomorrow. BUT... and it's a reeeallly biiiig BUTT... We should make a pact for Azure - no passing into the first corner or even the first lap. This is the one time each one of us should really just accept where we are, drive like grandmas, and give the guy in front plenty of room at least the first few corners. Having four or five guys get damaged in that first corner will be a mess.
Also, to clarify - with damage on do we need to worry about engines and gear box issues?
Thanks, I'll be there with bells on! No panties, oh that's the other David, yiiiiiiiikesI agree with that Shaun, braking into the first corner at both tracks needs to be exercised with extreme caution, and just take it easier for the next few corners as well. Remember it’s Performance Impacting Damage, not full damage. It seems that it’s mainly the suspension that takes the brunt. When testing I had the rest of the damage repairs set to off and car felt fine after just repairing suspension. Will be doing some more testing later today and will confirm.
@bigtimedave I will add you to the invite list. You will be in Group B, so the Lotus 49C. Glad you decided to come and check us out.![]()
I did a practice race with the bots.. my best lap was a 1:43 with the lotus 49... worked my way up to 5th place, up the hill got a caution flag, came screaming round the corner in a nice 4 wheel drift to see the track completely blocked with bots. They were piled 2 high! .....after that I had no wheels left...not a one!!...Hey guys, Mr. Baaawesome here........
I'm in too good a mood to bitch, but I gotta ask, why is our Lounge successful? The racing is pretty good most of the time, but it's the laughter that keep things plugging along. When we throw a curveball like we did this week, we do it to see how many laughs we can generate. Even testing the combo Aero****e and I were killing ourselves This is not a normal race, we realize that, it's gonna be a cluster fug of epic proportions and we'll all have to change the way we drive to survive. I guarantee the podiums will be shuffled a bit with the cleanest driver winning.
We can't please everyone every time, but we do test

every combo, most of them have worked, some not so much, but change is good from time to time for Nabob freshness.
I want to do an Eco race in the near future where you are given, for example, 18 laps of fuel for a 20 lap race and see who can "Eco" their way to a win.
David, ya Wanker, take off your woman's panties and participate, not just watch. This twist was made for you, seeing that you are one of the cleaner drivers out there, Aerotaint and I agree......this is your chance to shine Mon.
Nah, this one will be too much fun to watch. I want to watch it from balcony with popcorn and beer in hand. LOL......David, ya Wanker, take off your woman's panties and participate, not just watch. That's what I am thinking, lap one as basically a parade lap. Far better than millions of dollars balled up in the first corner. The only setup you will really need at Azure and LB is the one to keep you off the walls. As for 21:00, it's not totally dark, but both tracks are very well lit. This Homey don't like the dark dark.
The IP setting will be on for qualifying as well, jus soze ya no.
A first lap of no passing building speed to start on lap 2 might be in order. Lemme talk it over with the co-cheeze.

No. No parade lap. That will just spoil the fun. Don't be a sissy.
Race Day
Soooo.....how do you see suspension damage? Spill the beans. Curious minds want to know.Whoever doesn't know you can see your suspension damage / how to... talk to me or sgeti BEFORE the race. i had NO idea that was even possible without your 10 dollar apps
If you have a windows laptop...pcars-vhudWhoever doesn't know you can see your suspension damage / how to... talk to me or sgeti BEFORE the race. i had NO idea that was even possible without your 10 dollar apps
When I did the single player race, it put all the 49c s up front.Race Day
Most of you remember the old Monty Python saying, "And now for something completely different", well that is almost upon us. I believe most of you are now well aware of what is going down tonight so I'm not going to go through it all again.
FYI. Last night we had around seven of us run some mock races at both tracks and pretty much everybody had to pit for damage at some point (I think in four races only a couple of people managed one whole race without pitting). I would still set up your main pit strategy with just the suspension repair checked, as a good percentage of the time this is what will be fixed, times seemed to average between 25 and 45 seconds. But if damaged more, your car will automatically take longer to repair, a couple of guys were in the pits for a few minutes last night. As a test, I beat the crap out of my car for one lap at Monaco and it took 4 min's, 10 sec's to repair! For the B guy's, I would also set up another pit strategy for a front wing, though you will need to hit a wall a few times with the nose before you lose it.
We will decide come race time how we are gong to approach the starts. Good luck and remember, "Be careful out there"!

What? Pit limiter thingy? What if the PL is not mapped. Can I pass you?On Monaco, I'd suggest we file into a single line and go on turn 1. Everyone starts on the pit limiter, roll up into the 1st corner and turn it off once YOU are around it.
On long beach, maybe the same thing but on the last turn?
No matter where we start on the tracks its going to be mental.
