Guys, I'm very sorry but i think i lost interest in this series. Every week became the same old thing. We start 9, halfway through first race we're 5 or 6, 4 are way faster than me and I end up doing 20 to 30 laps completely alone and bored.
For every new guy that comes in an older one stops showing up and we're stuck on this poor attendance that doesn't seem to change.
I love you all and hope to see all of you out there in way more participated and competitive competitions.
Special 2 thumbs up to Lessen for his effort.

Sorry guys, it doesn't look like this series is my cup of tea. I like tight and close racing. After two or three mistakes, which I am prone to a lot, I find myself driving alone. That's ok for a couple of laps but for thirty? I just do not have the consistency to keep up with you young bucks. Cheers to you all. Maybe try again next week.

@irmopars Thank you for the scoring, and thank you @Schmiggz for hosting.

My ISP issues aside, this series is on a downward spiral and that's frustrating for me, especially on a platform that is so engaging. If this series is to keep going we MUST have attendence, so whatever needs to be done to facilitate interest I'm going to have to do.

Next week will see several dramatic changes to format and as a matter of fact, in part, it starts now. I will announce further format changes in the next couple days after I give it some thought.

Voting is open for the Season 5/Round 3 combos. Click HERE! REMEMBER, everybody who is eligible MAY VOTE TWICE this week, once for Car 1 and once for Car 2.

Sorry I missed last night fellas. It was a long day and a nap turned into sleep. Bummed because I practiced more than I had in a while. Anyways, hope to see ya next week!

Just got off the phone with Thrustmaster, the old customer service number is now working again. Do you believe they said my wheel is schld to be fixed tomorrow ? You believe them, I sure as hel* do not. What a massive cluster *&%#.

I can scream, yell and curse at the customer service agent but how will that help? I can threaten to never buy another one of their products. Yeah that one always works. Got it, why don't I post all of this on my facebook page and blast them in social media. Oh yeah I forgot I don't have or want facebook. All I can do is sit here and wait.

I did ask for overnight shipping as a sign of good will due to the lack of customer service. You would think by their short and curse response I asked them for a free wheel.

OK, my rant is over.

All drivers,

WRRC is now in the midst of it's 5th season in it's short life as an organized series since it's inception back in June of this year. Unfortunately, WRRC has struggled to realize much growth. I believe the time has come for the general format of this series to be re-evaluated. WRRC has provided some fantastic racing, but only amongst a select handful of regular drivers who happen to have like-talented regular couterparts . I believe this series can be the cornerstone of close, competitive racing on PS4 Project Cars, but we need to attract more drivers on a regular basis to see that happen. The list of changes is quite substantial, but I'm hoping the new format will keep old and new drivers alike always wanting more. The main purpose of these changes is (1) Offer more opportunities for close battles, and (2) retain some "sim" aspects of the series.

  • Four races per night
    • Two 15-min timed races per combo
    • Two 20-min timed races per combo
  • 5 min qualifying prior to all races (Yes, ONLY 5 minutes. This will help speed along the program as well as possibly create some interesting grids)
  • 5 min warmup prior to all races (last opportunity to prepare for the start of the race as well as re-invite any competitors who may have been disconnected during qualifying
  • Standing Grid Starts
  • Penalties turned OFF. (Going forward this series will expect all drivers to police themselves and each others' racecraft. The expectations of righting one's wrong are defined within the SNAIL OLR, please familiarize yourself with these standard practices)
  • Time Progression: x10
  • Weather Progression: x10
  • Tire Wear: x2

Thanks for tagging me in this conversation but I don't play Pcars as much as should with you guys because of the heavy tuning involved in the league and I also think that's why a lot of GT players haven't made the change yet.

It's not at all a bad thing that the series allows tuning it's just i suck at it and it's not my thing, I much rather just jump into a race instead of spending my week figuring out a good tune for my car, some people simply don't have the time to tune which makes other members feel slow, I barely have to time to even practice at all let alone to tune my car and actually be competitive

I'm just asking and I'm not positive, but can't a reverse grid be set up with the warm up count down timer? So no pace lap would be needed.

OK, my rant is over.

Over? My rant is far from over. :banghead:

This is the email I received earlier today.

Dear Mr. Marc ,

Regarding your T300 RS.
We have checked with our repair center and your wheel base is still awaiting in queue.
It will be dealt with in the following days and most likely shipped back at the beginning of next week.
We will get back to you as soon as we will have more details available.
We are sorry for the inconveniences caused.
Thrustmaster Technical Support is at your disposal for any other information you may need. You can reach us online at the following addresses:

They work on weekends, Don't think so. Next week most likely? Good thing I am not a drinking man.

Wait someone is knocking at my door. The UPS man. He has a box, that box looks familiar, wait a minute, return label says, Canada, no way, YES WAY. I HAVE MY WHEEL.

Thrustmaster shipped back my wheel in my original box. They shipped out the beginning of this week. They can not even track their own repairs properly.

Plugged it in, set up FFB, feels great.

Look forward to next Tuesday. Now I need to scrape of the rust and hopefully will be ready to go.

If this game gave us a reverse grid option I would not hesitate to employ it. Even though it's effect might not be quite the same as it is in the 12-minute SNAIL Sunday series, it's benefit to the fun factor would still be felt. I would be 150% in. The problem I see with any sort of manual gridding is the inherant complexity and lack of "plug and play" user friendlyness. Complexity is fine when the masses are not required to be accountable for the details, but once a program begins to require all individuals to do very specific things at very specific times, it's gets to be a bit much, especially when it is part of a standard procedure rather than a one-off situation. It's almost like being micro-managed, and most folks don't like that. I prefer to keep it simple. I think we'll turn away less prospective members that way.

I think we'll all find the new format to be a bit more exciting overall. I think the short qually session will mix things up a bit and the difference in length between the pairs of races will change the feel of the "2nd" races, especially when conditions change in the 4th weather slot. :) Basically, what I found was that in the 15 minute race, the weather won't get to the 4th slot, but it will in the 20 minute race. So we "could" see that a short race may not have rain, but the longer race might... just sayin'... :D

Been reading the posts and I'm trying to figure out when we will know what cars and tracks are going to be raced next week.

Been reading the posts and I'm trying to figure out when we will know what cars and tracks are going to be raced next week.

All eligible drivers have until Midnight tonight EST (ONLY 2 more hours) to cast their votes. See post #3 or the link in my sig to take you there. Eligible drivers are those who have raced at least once in the current season, but since we're just getting this format started I'll accept your vote if you would like to get involved. Everybody may vote twice this week since we need two new cars. It's actually very quick and easy to do although you may want to have two windows open if that makes it easier. One with the Voting options screen (post #3) and one with the survey. I will be trying to work out a way to have the car and track names in the actual ballot in the future. It's a program communication issue at the moment. There's also a complete step-by-step in the OP when you open up the detail "spoiler".

*edit* I'm sorry, I guess I never directly answered your question. Voting results will be posted Saturday morning. I'll add that in the OP. Thanks for pointing out the missing info. 👍

A yes or no answer would of been sufficient. Or even a I don't know answer. This is why we need Trump for president, he's not into making up a bunch of red tape answers for a simply question. Funny funny funny lol, to much. I'll go ask someone that is knowledgeable with the game, should of known better. Totally my fault.
I'll refrain from posting here anymore just to keep things simple.

Being short is not how I roll. Nobody is forcing you to question, interact or post anything here. You are welcome to stay silent if that's how you'd prefer to play it. I ignored your last rant because I saw no positive result in responding. This time however I'm making myself clear... I am tiring of your attitude. Your barage of complaining and condescending remarks when you don't like what I have to say is adding absolutely nothing of value to this series, and I have little patience for constant negativity.

I tell ya man! I just had a blast driving that caterham! I can't wait for the race next week! :)

Yeah! It's a fun one for sure, and a REALLY good track for it too! I'm gonna jump on here in about 10 to throw down some laps in the Ford. That thing has no assists so I'm really gonna have to be smooth with these thumbs :)
