Wow! I had no idea this car would be so much fun to drive 👍

Great throttle steer capability, well balanced... Just a blast to drive!

Hmmm. Interesting that you like it so much.

In this R&T article, "Blow Dryers" from 2003 they pitted the roadster TT against the Boxster S, S2000, 350Z Roaster, and the BMW Z4 3.0. The TT came in dead last, by a lot. The magazine article includes a point system with graph. On a 100 point scale the TT was more than 10 points behind 4th place.

The Article
Sports cars have a sort of Reebok sure-footed quickness about them that is completely absent in the TT. No surprise, really. This two-seater is built on a VW-sedan platform, your basic all-wheel-drive Golf togged out in designer duds. And that's the way it dances, with too much pitch and dive following throttle changes and too much wait-for-me when you steer. It's always a step behind the beat.

So in other words, you'd be better off with something a little more purpose built.

C&D didn't have MY TT though, 350+ HP, VCD, Race suspension, Race gearbox, etc. Tuned up this car is 'fun'.

I'll get back in it tonight, bone stock, and see if I still like it though.

Stock- the TT is a pig. Nose heavy, Haldex AWD system (FWD until slippage).

Not a sportscar in the S2000 sense.

The 3.2 version is a pretty cool car, but don't expect it to run with 350Z.

Ah HA! Well yes, at that point it becomes a little more entertaining. (: Frankly I'd rather spend my time with something that starts off a little more nimble, though.
