Does anyone have any knowledge about the 08 Pontiac G6? It's got a 2.4L inline-4 cyl with 164 hp. Can anyone tell me how to boost performance. I'd like to get it above 200 hp. Also is it worth the money?

There's probably turbo or supercharger kits available. Since it's essentially a GM product, check out whats out for the Chevy products with same motor.

It does have a lot of similarities with the Cobalt so yeah you got a point there.

I think you can bolt up the stock supercharger from a Cobalt SS, with a few extra parts needed. Forums are your friend. Find a G6 forum and start searching. ;)

So I checked out a few things and The 08 2.4L is very limited on what you can do. Most of the things made for the G6 are for the V6 which is typical. So I'm currently searching for a Cobalt SS Supercharger or a turbo to slap on. That means a retune of the ECM. Anyone know how to get an ECM tuned?

Look at performance parts for the Pontiac Solstice. I believe the Solstice used almost the same motor as the G6. You may run into problems with fitment thought, because the Solstice is RWD and the G6 is FWD. I'm pretty sure they had turbo/super kits for the 2.4L Solstices too. Might give you a good starting point.

In all honesty, I think you'll be wasting your money. Sell the car and get something that will be a better starting point.

Yeah, you're just throwing money away by trying to modify a G6 and anyone thinking you can just put random Cobalt SS parts on will probably be wrong. The Cobalt SS did have a 2.4L high output version of that motor (when you could buy an SS/SC or the more lowly naturally aspirated one. That made 174hp I think. I'd assume the G6 is an automatic as well.
