I would take a look at the seasonal event prizes and buy a car to compete in one of them? I know the 4wd event gives you the Suzuki Escudo, but also the La Sarthe track on that event pays out like 600,000 each time! I believe its restricted to 450PP, I used a moderately tuned Premium Lancer Evo

Don't. Just get a level 24 ticket from the Market Place and you can get the cars for free.

Well when you get enough money for a good 650PP car there is a seasonal for Nurburgring.. I lap pays 1,000,000! I recommend the mclaren race car or '09 team LMS Playstation Audi, or Audi R8 LMS.. They are all standard though so hard to find..

Not really. If you are a really good driver then yes, but if you're average you might need something like an LMP or G7 racer.

I consider myself to be ok, I drive with no assists and got 783 overall on the Latest Timetrial on Cape Ring

When you start it if you are racing against the mclaren and the Zonda restart exit race and come back until they are not your opponents, then you will have a good chance!!!

This. In my experiences, the only thing that can easily beat the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car is another BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car.

Yeah I have the same issue, I usually catch him on the long straight with my R8.. If its the ford GT I usually have him passed on the long straight before the first carousel!
