I saw this on CNN. The first series of odd numbers. Incase you did not know 1-03-05 is a date. Just thought I share this it seems a bit interesting.

I noticed this today in school. I promptly pointed it out to my friends, who couldn't care less about it.

the 19th of september 1991 was palindromic (If you ignore the Americans and write the date the way it should be written dd-mm-yy).

1991991

1961 read the same upside-down.

matrixhasu - it'd be odder (or maybe evener) if you'd registered on 20th February. 20022002...

Meh, dates are easy to muck about with.

I think it's quite cool that the first Bahrain GP was on 04.04.04, and the second will be on 03.04.05.

My daughter was born on 25th May, which is the last time in the year that the date is the square of the month. She narrowly missed out on being born on 24th, which is the number that has the highest number of factors (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8) in any given date. It would have been even cooler if she had been born on 25th May 2005, because as we all know, 25 = 05 * 05.

See what I mean? Easy.

It appears not even you are adhering to your own rules of writing out the date, since you didn't write it as dd-mm-yy, but dd-m-yyyy. If you'd followed your own directions, the 19th of September would read as follows:

19/09/91 or 190991

Also, why is Jan. 3rd, 2005 so special? Didn't the same phenomenon occur Jan. 3rd, 1905? 01/03/05?

I'd apologize for raining on the parade, but I'm really not sorry. I suppose I should be sorry for not being sorry...

I was only illustrating that the day should be before the month. You're being too picky again....

My wife's birthday: 11-6 (Nov. 6th)
My birthday: 1-16 (Jan. 16th)

Numerology explains everything, especially if you're all out of excuses.

No you were NOT illustrating the correct way to format the date. You were drawing everyone's attention to the fact that September 19, 1991 was supposedly PALINDROMIC.

And are you honestly going to sit there, after nitpicking about the order of month, day, and year, and say I'm being too picky?

Ha thats true. I agree americans should go to the way you guys write the date. BTW I am not really american even though I am a citizen of the US . I was born in another country.

But the important part was not the dd-mm-yyyy bit. Yes, there is an extra m in there, so what? The important bit was illustrating that it wouldn't work if the date was written US-style. If it was written UK style, then it works.

Interesting - my wife's parents share the same birthday. Similarly interesting is that my wife's birthday is a day before my mother's, while her mother's birthday is a day before mine.

True that - though it's fun nonetheless. I used to send vat_man a private message every day that the US day and the rest-of-world day was the same (February 2, for instance, will be written as 2/2/05 in both places) though I haven't done it in a while (as he doesn't come around much anymore).

I've also got a weird bithday thing going in my family. My birthday (July 22) is one day before my father's, which is also the same day as his mother's birthday.

WHOA! Thats really crazy! Man I would be totally freaked out by that! But I am sure I would probably get used to it after a while.
