It was there already...
Are you sure? Before the patch I used to have the wipers on R3 on my DFGT and I could never activate them myself during a race. After the patch I decided to change a few buttons and put wipers on square. Tried it in the new special events and now I can turn them on and off :|

I could always turn the wipers on at will. It was funny, my friend was racing with the g25, and I was on the couch with a controller, he couldn't figure out why the wipers kept coming on.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I could swear shadowing is also improved. Like I just drove my '88 Accord around Suzuka East. when I watched the replay, the shadow under the car looks a lot less jagged. 👍

I think it's... situational.
I did an online race with a friend, he had a tesla and I had an F40 around tsukuba. The F40 exterior shadows were VERY sharp. GT5Prologue quality sharp.
I didn't think much of it.. thought oh that's nice, they fixed it. Interior shadows looked normal.

We switched to London and I had an Evora and he had an Elise... the exterior shadows for the Evora were pixelated just like before.

Maybe the game loads higher quality shadow maps depending the number of cars and the type of track you're in?
I'll have a better look at them tomorrow.

I'm curious to see what exactly is contained in the 600meg patch. Events and such can't be that big of a download?

Not sure if this has been mentioned but clutch support has been improved also, while the clutch is enabled no longer if you hold the clutch in does the engine revs fall to 0 rpm, now it holds at idle like it should. :)

EDIT: Haha it's mentioned in the first post

Hehe, online dealership....hmm a couple of DTMs...

Oooo, hello, FGT at 4.98mil...

Kinda a slap in the face to those who waited forever for the FGT to show up in the used dealership, and now its easily found in the online dealership...

Kind of a slap in the face to all the kids that died from polio that babies these days get vaccinated. 👎

Paint and cancel still doesn't work. I hope it gets fixed soon. It gets quite bothersome to quit out of the game every time.
Otherwise I'm loving the update.

I do like the fact that the damage model seems to be improved somewhat... and the shadows... anyone else noticed this?

I'm not sure, but have you been able to sell cars which you won for completing racing series in A/B Spec ? Now I can do that 👍

Ive logged in today and were awarded 6 paint chips and 6 museum cards. I wonder if I will get 7 of each tomorrow?

I kept doing the same thing to a friend of mine, plus putting on the horn and flash the lights in the dark.

As this is about 'the little things', at least in the UK / PAL version, in the Garage it's now called 'Settings' instead of 'Tuning' if you want to modify the car / parts etc.

I'm glad they went and fixed even really little things like the 91' NSX before had the 2004 style brake lights, they fixed that. Damage is definitely more severe and mechanical damage is intense.

i have the same feeling. I did the Rally-Specials and the shadowing is much better then the day before (without the patch). Not perfect but WAY better.

Is it me or is the "smoke/water pixelation around the cars" VERY improved??

I just got Bob into my Corvette C3 on Grand Valley and he did some awesome drifting, so I took some pictures with a lot of smoke and the pixelation is almost completely gone!! o_o! Maybe I'm just crazy, I'll have to check it out later with some rainy action.

PS: I'll read the thread now just incase it's been mentioned already :P

I think I mentioned it in here. It's still there, but the edge is so much closer to the car now you hardly notice. With all the complaints it got on this forum I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned it. Looks great.

in relation to the patch and custom menu music...

Ive set it up, plays my music, but then after a race it reverts to the original menu music (which drives me insane!!)

i set it up again, works, then same problem.

is this happening to anyone else? any solutions or is it just bugged

thanks in advanced

I noticed this one as well! That Aspara RX7 sounded like a hybrid when you turboed it. It's now as loud turboed as it is N/A! WOOT!!! PRRAAAPP RRAAAPP PRRAAAAP!!

Not such a little thing to me but something that has gone undocumented...

Browsing through the server list in open lounge, I noticed now when hovering over each server's circular button (the one that lights up green if a race is in progress) information about weight / power restrictions, and the number of laps is displayed.

Fantastic job on the new patch PD. I'm very impressed with your commitment to your customers and your efforts to continually improve the GT5 experience.

I'm particularly pleased with the new no HUD option. However, as some have already mentioned, I think it would be great if we could individually customise which aspects of the HUD we want enabled and disabled. I also think it would be excellent if we could turn off the recommended gear indicator and recommended moment to brake indicator. Obviously the speed and selected gear displays are vital as it's often difficult to read the rendered gauges while in cock pit. But many other aspects of the HUD are not necessary - depending on the type of session or event of course.

I'm sure such updates are planned for future release. Once again, well done on the latest patch PD. I'm having an absolute blast with GT5!

I have a theory. If the reward for completing races increased with 20%+, maybe the login bonus was also increased? Just a theory:scared:

And my B spec Bob drives a lot better now after the update. Now I have to change my sig.
