Does anybody know if the bug is fixed whereby on the Zonda after upgrading to titanium exhaust the eng/exh sounds vanish and you are only left with transmission whine?

I can't check due to PS3 redlighting on me a few days ago (hopes it can be fixed!)

I can't remember the exact link but run a search in youtube for something like, 'ps3 rlod fix'. There are some great tutorials on how to fix yourself, really easy and about 25mins to do!

I just lost the race today due to stupidly 1.05 blocked "on the fly" setting like TCS for wheel. I was just 10 point behind and luckly I know this track very well, 6 laps in. All of sudden it starting raining and I'm using overpower car on TCS 0 :dunce: but I can control it, but NOT in rain!! and I try to bring TCS up, It's grayed out!!! That pissed me off that I just lost race because they changed something that I didn't know! (It's not in change list of 1.05)

I still have old GT4 wheel for PS2, I just bought new wheel for GT5 with that red wheel thingy for change "on the fly" menu. now it's grayed out, I'm seeking for my money BACK!

Might have been a glitch, because I use a DS3 with the D-pad set up for the DFGT controls, and it works fine, whichever race I'm in.

A small fix i noticed. When using the large preview icons for cars in your garage you couldn't see the Chromeline cars, the preview icons were simply empty. But now after the update they are displayed properly.

They fixed Rolling Start - Double Lane. Before 1.05 the cars would bump in to each other and change formation to Single Lane.

I use Dual Shock and it's greyd out on me too.. I have it set so that if I press X during race it brings out the menu. All I can change now is Brakes.

One thing I have noticed is that the sound of Mazda 787B has been improved when playing 1st person view, it sounds similar to the 3rd person view.

I've been changing settings mid race since the patch was released, not sure what is going on with your game. I still have access to TCS, ABS, etc

You might want to go to options and clear out the cache, it may do nothing but you never know.

My RA functions are mapped to my G25 and they worked as they always have. Maybe you are attempting to change them when the race hasn't started or something, everything is greyed out then. Just clear the cache and then check to see if your wheel is supported by look on these forums, find the correct button mappings and you should be back to racing and switching things on the fly in no time. :D

I too can no longer adjust TCS and ASM via the RA function both in my DFGT and DS3 in GT Life mode. In arcade mode I can still adjust them.

Wow, I am soooo happy with this!! I have no internet connection at home (yet), so I got my PS3 as soon as I discovered this thread, and updated the game here at work.

I was looking for a Countach 25th anniversary since I got the game in the used car dealership, but I had no luck.

I checked the online used car dealership, and BAMM there it was on page one.

Not to mention the ability to turn of the hud, a major MAJOR improvement for me.

I also like that they improved the sounds of at least some cars.

I am a very happy camper right now!!

Way to go PD, I kinda lost faith a little with the initial release, but this patch really shows that you guys are constantly trying to improve this game. And that you actually LISTEN to the community, and that cannot be said about a lot of developers.

A big THANK YOU and Merry Christmas to all of you guys!!
:)

I dont know about that, but now you are not forced to cut the gas completely between shift, half throttle will do the trick :)

Clutch is still very much on-off. A little past half-way on my G25. I don't see that changing in like ever. Only other racing game/sim I have tried with full clutch slip modelling is Live for Speed which is ...yeah, in a different league for better and worse.

And I drool over your news of no more 0% throttle for shifting. Will test ASAP.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but clutch support has been improved also, while the clutch is enabled no longer if you hold the clutch in does the engine revs fall to 0 rpm, now it holds at idle like it should. :)

EDIT: Haha it's mentioned in the first post

I think this needs to be boosted again. Better clutch support has now made the game VERY fun for me. Just finished testing it out, while not perfect (in my opinion as I was having a great conversation with another poster about this) it's getting closer to what I know driving with a clutch to be. I'm very glad they changed that up. Just making sure that those that abandoned the clutch like I did give it another try.

Unless they do what they did with prologue and roll up a lot of the updates in a "spec III" disk release of the game.

If they release a "spec III" disk release then that should be reviewed, of course you know it'll be caveat-ed with the initial release as they do all games that come out with a second release of a current game with enhancements/additions.

The damage system is so much better now, its actually adding so much to the experience that the damage appears quicker.

And to think people were actually defending NOT having damage. Been racing with friends online and damage adds so much to the game. Just wish they work on aero damage now.

Love that the game is headed in the right direction. Haven't seen anything in the updates to make me go WTF? wish we know happens in different games.

Still not work, however, i backed up save data then start new game, it work just fine. then i load old save data, still not work. seem to that somehow 1.05 messed up with my savedata.

What's your A-Spec level?

Wow, after getting home from work yesterday, I obviously fired up GT 5 immediately.

Here is a funny thing I noticed, while driving the LVL 18 AMG Challenge. First I completely turned of the HUD, and shortly after I realized that my driving is completely different than with the HUD.

Even when I know the track very well, I allways subconsciously waited for the blinking gear indicator to choose my braking points and quickly checking what gear I should be in for the next corner.

Without that it is completely different. I felt so... I dont know, set free. I was looking at the track to determine my braking points. I was focusing much more on the actual driving. It was a great experience!

The only bad thing is that it does not really work that well with standard cars. I like to have at least a revcounter and speedometer, so I have to leave the rest on as well. But that is a minor issue.

Something I mentioned as well during that AMG Challenge is that the rain still does look awfull. I only mention this because somebody in this thread wrote that the resolution of the raindrops has been improved.

Well for me it is still a constant stream of big dots that is absolutely not affected by the wipers as well.

Well, we leave that for a future update. I am soooo very happy about the HUD thing that I actually could not care less about the rain. I mostly drive in the dry anyways.

That's my character form TES IV: Oblivion.

The new LFA sound is in my opinion not better that it used to be. Sounds more artificial now.

Well it was kinda too smooth before, compared to the real thing.
Lacked the buzz of the real engine
