I have a question. I’ve recently installed the master mod in RPCS3, but for some reason the error ID:1531 keeps appearing and I cannot use the online functions? Any solutions? Thanks

If you did everything right with mod lan then you probably just need to go to emulator ->network and check Network status connected.

That will enable emulator to use internet. Otherwise it will block it

I have a question. I use the newest prcs3 Version. When i install the mod the game will working. If i start prcs3 and GT5 again i get a black screen with this in LOG. This will happen when i activate the car packs. And than i have to install the game new. And my savegame wont work anymore.

E sys_fs: 'sys_fs_opendir' failed with 0x80010006 : CELL_ENOENT, “/dev_hdd0/game/BCUS98114/USRDIR/vou” [1]

Somebody can help me?

I've tried to clean installs on a real PS3 and after I unlock DLCs and accept delivery of the cars, once I turn off my PS3 and turn it back on, those cars say the DLC isn't installed, but they are per the game. I can get the cars again from the debug menu and re-accept delivery, but doing that every time can't be right. Any ideas?

Though I may not understand how mods work, just asking/wondering if one'd be able to turn the Standard cars into Premium cars here, and likely take time to convert them as much as possible.

The UCD in GT5 was just clearly made to hide the outdated details of the Standard cars, like how the cars are made to look as small as possible in the UCD menu with the car specification, description, and no color selection.

I don't beleive adding new car models into GT5 or 6 has been figured out yet. GT2 is the only one I know of where completely new car models can be added.

GT3 and 4 can add specific car models from other titles that are compatible with those resepctive games formats, butGT3 cars themselves cannot go into GT4 and vice versa as far as I understand.

Hopefully one day car and track models will be figured out, but we're not there yet and it's a big job, but will be a big moment if/when it does happen.

My game opens, but it freezes on a screen with the Gran Turismo 5 logo and doesn't install the data package (the one before getting to the menu) what did I do wrong? Has anyone ever had this problem?

How did you fix this? I just installed it today, and no matter how many times I turn the game off and reset it goes black after the Master Mod logo for me, so I know it's installed but it won't move any further after that, it just goes black?

I'm playing on my modded PS3 so I'm not sure if you did it on emulator, but either way I really want to get this working on my PS3...

EDIT: I've just realised I'm past Version 2.17, I'm going to reinstall and try again.

EDIT 2: Ok I've got it working! I was foolish and missed about the version numbers. Ah well it's sorted now, Looking forward to trying this out!

For people playing on a console, I honestly just recommend putting the Master Mod on a USB drive and using Multiman to copy it to the PS3 instead of using FTP to do it because I found USB to be more reliable in this case. FTP is great, but I have had a number of times where I'd copy something to the console, namely save games, and it apparently would not copy correctly and then I would have issues because of this. It tends to be even worse when copying a large amount of files, like this Master Mod for instance.

While I do not know what everyone is using to copy it to the console, I will say when using FTP, everyone's mileage is going to vary, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the issues mentioned here was because of this.

which version did you get it to work?

my PS3 is not modded / jailbroken. Would it work?

I installed the Master Mod a couple yrs ago on two of my JB'en slims. I also had two Driving Force GT wheels and spare RX-7 seats so built two simple driving rigs and got out an old ethernet switch and had some LAN battles on two big screens. I gave up looking for more slim PS3's JB'able(EVERY phat I've ever had died, no more PHATs) so a few weeks ago I installed RPCS3 on my PC and the same version of GT5 and the Master Mod. Master Mod works fine on PC, but won't connect via LAN to the two PS3's on the ethernet switch. It just always says unable to connect to server or something.(yes I enabled network status as connected in options).
SO my question IS: IS this even possible? Will a PC emulating play nice via LAN with two actual hardware units? Has ANYONE ever done this???

Ok, does anyone at least know if a win10PC with PRCS3 hooked up to an OLD 10/100Mbps ethernet switch requires some special settings? If I try Lan battle, it just says server error...Ps3's connect automatically no prob.

I don't know where you live, but Slims are dirt cheap here used. I bought one last year from a thrift store for $70CAD and run a dual slim PS3 head to head rig with pair of G25 w/TrueBrake and GT5 Master Mod. Running the current Evilnat CFW.

Lately I see people trying to clear them out on Facebook Marketplace for $35 CAD.

Good luck!

All of my house guests immediately get excited and want to try.

Does anybody know anything about a new bug going on in gt7? In particular the issue I just encountered is my roulette reward tickets disappearing. I'm aware they have an expiration date, but the date that was on them was for May, and there were three of them gone after finishing a race and then returning to the garage. They were for the weekly challenges, well two of the ones that are gone now we're, the 100,000 reward and the 200,000 reward along with a 6 star car roulette. Oddly enough the 500,000 reward ticket is still there

...Man, good for you. My only options are retro gaming stores charging hundreds. I don't use FB, so my only option is CL and NO ONE ever responds with a model# when asked...Does anyone know where I can go to get answers to my above questions???

There's no actual option to turn off weather changeability/rain in 2-Player arcade mode. This also breaks the Kart Space tracks to the point the drivers spin out during the rolling start - you can't turn the rain off. For some reason, not a single person managed to point that out the whole time... also, actually fixing the textures in some of the PS2 tracks that seem to have had their signboards replaced with far-render ones from the PSP or something, if that's even possible at all. (Weren't some of the broken tracks, like reverse variants, also finally fixed not overly long ago, too?)

It'd also be nice to be able to use Karts on tarmac tracks, use grid start instead of rolling start if the user wishes, as well as control the number of AI vehicles on the course. Some of this is probably doable in the event editor thing but I can't be arsed going through it tbh, last time I tried to use it it created a corrupted file on the USB I had plugged in, because of course it did. Yay.

Unfortunately though, this mod is dead and there'll likely never be another Nenkai in the GT Modding community again, so this will never happen.

The solution, be a bit arsed and have a go at modding. It's surprisingly easy to mod event files to include grid starts once you've extracted the PDIPFS folder, though you may also have to rebalance the AI accordingly. Fixing the broken tracks, less easy, at least not something I know how to do.

Karts on tarmac courses should also be easy, there will just be a flag in the databse that holds all the car data that will need switching.

'Karts on tarmac' is actually enabled, from what I can tell, at least in arcade mode.

It seems like the 'weather change/time change' option being enabled for certain tracks is what's causing it still be crossed out when selecting a vehicle, since forcing the AI to use karts still work fine.

I assume I could copy the extracted PDIPFS folder (which is extracted from GT5-mm, since the changes I want to make are specifically to files that have already been modified there anyway) elsewhere, delete everything except the files I want to change, and recompile only the changed files into the encrypted form using the PDIPFS tool? (kind of like a more cumbersome way of doing git branching)?

As for custom events and whatnot, is there a thread for sharing those

Yes that's all correct, there's no point in keeping the files you aren't touching as they will just take up more space and take longer to recompile the files.

It is. Strangely, it will prevent you from using karts on dirt and snow tracks even if you have the tires installed. Fortunately, I found a way to disable it years ago by editing out a line in the game's EBOOT. I imagine you can achieve the same result by altering a file in the PDIPFS, but I am not sure how to do that. I do know editing the EBOOT works, though. I can PM you if you want to know how to disable it.

I'll see about turning off the rain on tracks that didn't have it enabled first, since on tracks where it's not been explicitly coded it's kind of buggy anyway (and as stated it messes up 2p splitscreen because you aren't presented with any option to turn it off)

Unless you've done that already, in which might as well send whatever your modified pdifps/ebooty stuff is so I don't have to do it. I've messed around a little bit with hex editing and patching stuff in the past so it's not entirely unfamiliar, even if I'm not good at it lol
