Wow.

Every time I think about how a particular car might be my favourite, I see another Elise that snaps me out of it again (or, another few dozen, in the case of the post above). If I was offered one car that I had to drive for the rest of my life and never even touch another car, I'd pick an Elise.

Also, might be nice to credit those on this forum who've contributed to some of those shots - I can definitely see a few of 80Y 2C2's photos in there.

Some more Loti:

I had a similar thread going on another forum which had a disclaimer regarding crediting images. When I share the pictures, I save and upload them over a period of time in batches, so credit usually goes unknown, unnoted or forgotten. If you want/know the credit, I'll totally edit it in. I guess I forgot to mention that on the header of this thread.

I apologize to 80Y 2C2, and encourage everyone else to visit his gallery to see his other fine work.

PS - that green 340R looks like a Photoshop paint change. Any other photos? A Krypton Green (asuming they used OEM paint codes)340R would be moneyyyyy.

God I want an exige... I'm catching the disease all over again...

I think actually that Exige which is credited to 80Y is Syntax Error's photo actually 👍

I'll contribute a couple of mine here too:

Full sizes on my Flickr.

I hate to admit it, but the last one credited to me is in fact Syntax Error's (which was linked in my gallery) - the first two (the rear shot and the black and white, heavily contrasted one) are mine.

Really happy they made it in here :D

Oh, and cheers for the plug 👍.

EDIT. Hmmmm - that second one of mine isn't too good is it? Did you take it from an enlarged photocomp entry? For that, I downsized the original through PB, so the quality isn't as good as if I did it to the file and not over the net.

Cheers for that :D.

Fixed the annotations and whatnot. Thanks guys. More of the usual:

Dream Exige? The guy pounds it at Laguna on a regular basis as well.

Thanks for putting a credit in there for my shot. Hot thread BTW 👍

Exigeracer, you replaced my first shot with the enlarged one, not the second ;) 👍.

Woow... That purple (violet?) Elise is awesome. I don't like the rims on the last yellow Elise, they look to tame.

Aubergine Purple. Definitely one of the most underrated colours available on the car. Other than the laughably grotesque colours (Aztek Bronze & Autumn Gold) it is probably the rarest. I can't imagine there being more than a few dozen of them across 2 years of Elise & Exige manufacturing.

I don't know if this is a repost, it's hard to keep track of all the cars posted in here, but I tought it was WAY, WAY wicked. 550 hp courtesy of the twincharged Toyota engine, heavily massaged of course. And man, THOSE wheels.

Technically, that car has been posted several times in this thread, but not looking like what you posted. Notorious car, "notorious" owner. Good to see people dialing their cars to 11. You can even go back all the way to post #1 to see it, to me looking much better in black/red:

I've stopped following the Lotus community over the past few months. All of the long-term members of the biggest Lotus forum defected to an identical independent board because of a squabble over money. The bickering got annoying, and so did checking pretty much the same site twice for the same photos/info. Postings will continue to be fewer and farther between from me:

Nice photos 👍 What relevance does the MINI interior have? ;)

Mhhh... nah, I like it better with the gray paint and those incredible wheels, it looks like a ghost, gotdammit.

Sad to hear the community breaking down... They've provided some amazing shots if that's where these come from.

And here I was thinking it was pretty cool that I fit an 8' lighting fixture into the Volkswagen... That's pretty awesome.

Schwoops. Snuck in the Elise upload batch I guess... :D

They come from all over the internet, but a good portion from LotusTalk. I just went over there to check to see if things had stabilized, and it doesn't seem like the place was totally crippled. I guess the dust settled...

Board member had his 2-11 photographed for modelling to have it included in a Forza car update pack. Pretty neat:

By the way this is Trial's Lotus Exige. Unfortunately this is as much info I have on it.
Great thread!
