This is because of the "audience". People watching F1 are actually motorsport enthusiasts, and won't watch a race in TV if they cut the action with commercials in wrong moments. Soccer is for mindless puppets, which will keep watching even if producers puts commercials right in the middle of the action, like what is happening for movies and TV shows.

This is the first ever Indy 500 that I've watched live and it's definitely been worth the very early wake up so far. Currently 5:46 am and the sun is almost about to come up lol.
 
Throw away the fuel game because of all the cautions...now it's all-out racing!
 
Alonso seems to be very receptive to coming back in the interview, really hope he does and wins the thing!
 
This just in: Honda stocks have dropped more than their cylinders in their engines.

Alonso had a damn good race, Davidson had a good showing too, and when it's been green it's been a pretty good race.
