I ponied up the full purchase price on the Tickford Falcon because I had the money, I wanted it (I'm Australian), and it was early on in the game and I couldn't be bothered with the enduro. Can't remember the purchase price.

I also bought the Castrol Supra after I got 100% because it was the only prize car missing from a race series (I'm trying to get all the cars) and I couldn't be bothered running it again. Again, not sure of the purchase price.

Oh, cheez, I'm a piker, I guess. I think the most expensive car I've bought was the SLK. And by the time I made it competitive, I shoulda bought the CLK 55 anyway.

I think the TVR speed six. I've managed to make it to nearly 90% and only had to pick up a Clio, Speed 6, and a Merc SLK.

And I've got enough cars to finish. After that I'll start looing at ones to buy. The Castrol NSX looks like a prime car!

Had to buy as Merc to compete in the Silver Arrow, so I picked up a CLK55. Then I picked up the Kompressor and the D2 touring car. Only other cars I remember buying were the initial Beetle and then a Viper GTS. The Viper isn't a bad choice because for the money, it will win you a lot of better money races (like upper level Test Course ones) and some of the better cars. I won the Vertigo with it, then the F090s with that, and now i can just pick and choose what to go for next.
