2.02 Chase Camera Change - Now Dynamic

no no no NO NO NO NO.
Gawd, the one thing i HATE about forza has now been added to GT5. great.
There had better be a way to turn it the heck off, because i want no part of it.

How silly of you to think PD would allow users to decide something for themselves.

After a couple of minutes racing at the ring in practice mode i felt nauseous too...
I use the chase cam since firts gt games ( and I'm not a kid!). I like it because you can see all the track and makes me more easy to take the correct line.
I think they should put a option to turn it on or off.
Meanwhile i'm gonna use cockpit view...

I don't use Chase view, but I expect it's now alot like an FPS with the camera wobble. I used to have to play Return To Castle Wolfenstein with a border around the PC screen or I would get motion sickness.

Playing certain FPS games still cause it to this day, but I've never experienced it in real life unless I try to read in a moving car.

Ya it ruined that camera. Way to go PD. I felt a little sick during it. As much as I tried to like it I just can't.

Yeah, I am going to try it out once my kids get done watching their movie but I dont like the sound of what it did... I think I probably will shift to bumper cam when I use the DS3 now too (as stated earlier I use it anyhow with my wheel)....

Right, I mean the difference to me is in real life, when I ride my bike on a track or canyon, is i'm moving along with it as the bike leans and moves around under me. With this, your watching the screen do all the moving while being stationary.

I mean, I admit, after about 30 minutes it didn't bother me as much but I getting use to it was tuff. I had moments where I had to pause the game and focus on something else.

The Chase cam sucks now!!!!!!!!!! I used the view to race and now theyve turned it into a joke like a Juiced game if you have ever hear of that title. Thats wht i always hated about Forza! Now its on GT5 whyyy???

My thoughts EXACTLY.
I dont use chase all the time, but i did always use it for drifting to get some better angle... now i cant even do that.
And we cant turn it off.. so what have we left? All the new games have this camera

PD, give me a checkbox for dynamic cam and i will love you forever.

just wondering if the only people who actually like this view aren't using a wheel with force feedback? the bumps of the track surface were always there, this is just nauseating for chase cam users

I love it! Really let's me "feel" the bumpiness of the road. I wonder what Nurburgring is like!

The new angle surprised me, I love it though, better then the old one.

I took the 86 out to spa last night, switched to the outside view, didnt notice any difference. What should I be looking for?

This really hurt my eyes, so much that I had to rinse them out.. Some people are really sensitive to these kind of things.

I think all the people complaining about chase cam are exaggerating seriously its nothing like shift camera. But still think they should add an option to change it back for people that hate it.

I like the new cam major improvement from the old one. Now at least you can tell the car is actually turning (hated the static camera) and the car is reacting to the change in road surface.

I like the "idea" of adding a little fluidity to the chase cam, but this is waaaaay to much. It makes me feel like I'm drunk.

But hey, maybe I'll save some money at the bar! I'll just hot lap Trial Mtn. a for a few minutes before I go out ;)

Instead of having an option to completely turn it on or off, they should throw in a slider to adjust the fluidity from 0 - 10 in the quick options or something.

I love the new chase camera ;) its a lot more dynamic, therefore, for me it improved the game...
👍. I thought I was the only one who liked the new chase camera :P. It lets you feel every bump in the road, which I think is a cool touch. But for people who get motion sickness easily, I see how that could get annoying.

Yeah, my experience is ruined.... I guess the over the roof view now works best for me when using the ds3.... Ugh...

Edit... Even more time playing it... it is SO DISTRACTING!!!!! I dont even know if I like playing anymore because of it.... I dont like any of the other views using my DS3... Not even the hood view...

Ugh... I guess the game goes up for a while....

I'm come to this conclusion.. When racing, the camera does take getting used to, it was unbearable at first but after an hour or so of using this camera I got a little bit used to it but I still think there should be an option to turn it off or the reduce it

I retried using it or drifting and it gave me a slight headache due to constant change of direction, I had to lay down for a minute or two..no joke

I don't think it will grow on me as I prefer the static camera

The way I see it is if I was to walk from my computer to the kitchen which is 3 steps forward and 2 lefts, tilt my head to the side as my body stays straight... It doesn't add up at all

When I first played GT5 after the update, I was like, "WTF is this? Why is it so fluid?" Regardless, I've gotten used to it after a few races. IMHO, it's not that bad. It invokes more realism into the game.

I feel sick and dizzy with this chase cam. who is also having a weird glitch problem with the car, like it skips a few frames and jerks, it happens all the time, like 30 time a lap. I hope they fix it as GT5 is unplayable

What is going on with the Chase Cam? It makes me dizzy every time I drive any of my cars. This is suppose to be "The Real Driving Simulator" and now it feels like an arcade game! I wish there was a way to turn it off but there's not. I know some of you are going to say, "well your not a very good driver if you use chase cam all the time." I'm not saying im a good driver, nor am I saying I'm a bad one. This game is suppose to be fun and now I have to struggle to keep the car on the road. I'm probably not the only one but this is just a little too far with the changes. It feels like a roller coaster. Please PD, fix this! Is anyone else happy with this? I'd like your input.

Yeah, I dont know how much I care to play anymore with the DS3... I think if I dont feel like pulling out the wheel I just wont play... Sad... really sad...

I hear you... I hope PD does too... Ok, its there but I want to select which way to play... as stated I dont think I am going to play anymore til this is fixed ... it ruined my experience... game over....

I much prefer the new chase cam. I think it makes the game feel less sterile or something, can't really put my finger on it. I think it's only natural that the camera follows the angle of the car on banks like at Daytona. They should have an option to turn it off though if it makes people dizzy. And it will look a bit stupid when you roll your car.
