2.03 Update ruined FPS?!

I've driven in SPA Ring and The others. All of them has too low frame rates.
The game has a problem with itself. There is same problem on the menus, too
Anyone has

I tried Spa in B-Spec seasonal and my framerate was improved o_O

I did a few laps with the 2J at Spa and didn't notice any reduction in FPS.

Honestly I paid attention to it after seeing in the forum, but hadn't notice anything really ... don't know...

I don't notice it anymore since I'm so use to GT5 inconsistencies FPS. Sometimes it depends on which car view you use and course you race on. BTW, I play it on my Pioneer Elite Plasma so it's definitely not the tv.

Where did you notice the difference? Just doing b-spec now and all seams the same

I think it may be your PS3 that's messing up on the FPS front. One day my GT5 stutters here and there (especially on replays) and on the next it runs very smooth. Someone told me if its the game disc, the problem will keep reoccurring. If its the console, the problem comes and goes.

I took a couple laps at Spa right after the update and I was pretty sure the framerate seemed a bit better. Didn't notice as much chuggishness around the S/F line and heading down towards eau rouge...

My hard drive is like 2 gigs from full so it may be that, but my hard drive is original factory one from 2008, so age is definitely a factor.

Clear your System Cache.
May take a few minutes, but should clear everything up.

You do realize that PS3 is still a computer and it uses the HDD to cache information when it runs out of RAM. 2GB from full will give you long load times and the like just like it would a PC. Never ever go below 10% of HDD capacity in left over space, you invite all sorts of issues. Make room on the HDD so you can play games that rely on the HDD for caching to run without issues.

I would, but I kinda want my fat ps3 to die so I can have an excuse to buy a new slim one.

And the slow down happened way before now, it's just that it had gotten worse. My hard drive is on its way out. Sometimes it corrupts saves, or makes my PS3 lock up.

Settings (the gear icon) -> Network... at the bottom of the list -> Clear Cache

They fixed the frame skiping while driving in 3rd person, your car would jump from point A to B if you took a sharp turn.

I have problems on Route X with FPS. It begins to chug with many cars on screen. This happens with every track, although it seems to be worse on Route X.

My Problem with 2.03 is that the dynamic Chase Cam is glitching in a way especially moving corners as it tries to adjust it self to follow the car unlike in 2.02 where it is smooth

Yea mine is almost a picture slide show whenever i do any offline or online race with a field of cars in front of me.

Like 15 20 fps bad
