I'm curious as well, for the brief time I played yesterday, the wheel felt heavier and I noticed the car would understeer a little more... The FFB is pretty cool though.. Not sure.

While testing immediately after the update I knew the FFB had been changed. I happened to be in an x2010 and could feel the bumps in the road and kerbs much better. There is a bit of the old shake back in the wheel again at speed but not as bad as it was before the first FFB fix. For me, I'm really liking the feedback.

This! Understeer sensation is better now. Some people are saying they have to turn more but I think that the understeer is more pronounced now. The whole game just feels better when driving now. I cannot take turn so reckless now I have to be smoother. You can feel a lot off feedback from the road also. Very nice PD!

Definitely more understeer. I noticed it with the Roadster TC which is usually hooked up nicely on any tire compound and handles like a go-kart. Now there's noticeable understeering through the wheel.

I really like the new feedback my DFGT definetly gives me much more feedback, I really know what the track's like beneath me, the overall communication between the game and my steering feel (my opinion) is muich more clearer and better.

I really diggin' the new FF as it helps me to adapt to certain driving styles, tracks and cars a lot better.

So how are you guys liking the improvements, is it a noticeable difference when using the wheel now?

Digitalic can you make the thread title 2.06 and wheel force feedback so we can get broader opinions from the community.

So does that mean I will actually start to notice some understeer in my MINI Countryman when blasting through the turns? Well, I don't think I will be blasting anymore!.

i agree, its much improved.

Fanatec 911 turbo s and hell yeeah :) feels like pre 2.04 but even better. So Happy right now. 👍

I like it in my G27 as well. I was playing some rFactor today with a mod called Historic and TC cars with "Real feel" plugin and the FFB in GT5 feels just like that. The heavy part of it feels more realistic and quite similar to the FFB using "real feel".
BUT in GT5 some things are missing in the tyre model and physics if i compare it to rFactor.

But again, yes the G27 feels a lot better.

I'm using a G25 and yes the wheel FFB does feel better than before and I'm liking it =) The wheel feels heavier (just a noticeable tad) and what I normally call "deadband" or the dead zone seems be be less. It's a vast improvement! They've tightened it up. However, the FFB over curbs still needs a lot of work. You can barely feel anything and in many cases you can't feel a thing compared to other PS3 driving games. e.g. F1 2011.

Definitely feels heavier on with the G27. It feels a lot smoother when drifting and makes handling much nicer. I also find the the wheel centres itself more realistic than before, a little touch of the gas straightens you out. Very happy with the fix.

3rd thread i'm posting this in, but oh well.

G27 here and the feedback feels much better. Just going down the first straight at La Sarthe and you can feel every bump on the road through the wheel. I had to really concentrate just to keep the Murcielago in a straight line. It's much tighter and the dead zone seems to have been reduced. And the feel of curbs is back. Much better IMO.

Well done PD!

Haven't had a chance to get back on and give a good long test... Makes me weary.

I love the stronger FBB it is great, you can feel MUCH more.

However, the Loud obnoxious shake/crackling noise is back and unless you have a headset to block out noises (which luckily I have) Is a very annoying sound :p

they need to fix the clutch more then anything though. Just Bumped a thread about it if anyone wants to check it out.

You can feel the curbs? Really? I must be driving a car with reactive suspension or something because I can barely feel the curbing driving any car around Monza. You should feel heavy feedback bouncing on those curbs. :ouch:
Maybe it's a G25 vs G27 thing....

I(G27) still don't feel the curbs but the feedback is a lot better overall! It definetly feels heavier like others said but it's great now, minus the clacking from the wheel when you go off.

There's still a lot of work to be done on the FFB department, FFB is a lot more than just a heavy centering spring effect. the tracks still feel lifeless and the curbs are just painted stripes at the edge of the track for the most part.

What wheel do you have and what are you comparing track feeling to? I can feel everything from the track a lot better! Also the Curbs defiantly got better from last up date, and was the cause of me loosing the FGT championship race at Suzuka. :ouch: CSR user BTW.

My old Driving Force seems to be off to the left just a teensy tiny bit. I don't have the power supply yet but it was fine before the patch. Other than that, I guess its pretty much the same.

I don't like it, its just not more understeer, you realy need to turn more the wheel, the deadzone its more noticeable and you have less steering sensivity.
Some cars e feel like i'm driving a truck, and i don't like that, the only good thing for me now its the feeling of the bumps on the road.

The strength or the weight don't bother me, i understand that some people like it more heavy then others, but today almost all road and race cars have power steering so i don't understand why some people think its better to have a lot of weight in the steering wheel, old cars, formula GT and go karts ok, but the most of the other cars i don't understand.

Compared to the same tracks on iRacing/rFactor, granted we got some feeling back. But there's a lot missing, even if you go to the Nordshleife! Pre 2.04 you could feel acceptable levels of FFB on that track, you hit a curb now and you feel a slight bump if anything and keep in mind this curbs are taller than 12 inches in some spots!
