Haha, don't mean to laugh at your expense dude, but that is pretty funny!

I almost lost the race after 6 hours 35 mins and 182 laps of Suzuka racing. Just 0.2 of those seconds made the distance between me and the second placed car...needless to say if I'd lost the race then I would have been...pretty cross.

R35 GT-Rs outiftted with Titanium exhaust still have the ugly gray cheap exhausts.

Suprising considering PD's intense love for GT-Rs.

And for good reason!

Love how they fixed the freezing issues when exiting online lobbies, and the issue when the exhaust sound of other cars drowned out your own! The force feedback is cool to, although I'll have to get used to it again, nice one PD :)

C6 ZR1 rm has new sound, from the richard childress nascar. sounds very brutal and extremely loud as it should. also some other cars had they're sound samples replaced, also popular standards like the C5R and such etc

The AI in arcade mode stuck to the default tyre selection of the respective car, rather than using the same tyres as the player. Now I'm a bit lost when this was introduced. Tried it with the 320 Touring Car and the N24 GT-R on Nordschleife. Any help?

I think you mean a tweaked Jeff Gordon #24 car sound. RCR are not in GT5...

G27 here and the feedback feels much better. Just going down the first straight at La Sarthe and you can feel every bump on the road through the wheel. I had to really concentrate just to keep the Murcielago in a straight line. Like JDMKing said, it's much tighter and the dead zone seems to have been reduced. And the feel of curbs is back. Much better IMO.

Well done PD!

Also i had my FBB level at 2 or 3 (because i do all the work anyway) the update reset it to 5 and it feels better even when i put it at 3 again...
Thanks for mentioning the update reset the FFB to 5. I didn't bother to check so I will need to lower mine once again.

FFB improved (G25). The steering is more firm with less play than before. You feel like you have better control of the car and more precission. Closer to reality than before. Very good update!

"2.06 patch did nothing to fix weak rumble effect on curbs on turbo S wheel(G25 FFB). Some times it is ok when going straight over curb but mostly I just hear the rumble sound from speakers but feel nothing at wheel. Wheel seems to feel more spongy at center. I raised ingame FFB setting to 9 from 7 but did not notice any change. Something might be wrong with my wheel but everything was fine before 2.04 patch. " (from other thread)

I put now FFB to 10 but curbs are still mostly very flat. If they improved G27 seems like they made G25 worse?

No ABS seems tweaked the brakes seem more fluid, still possible to lockup but more smooth input even with same BB as pre 2.06.

XFR, ENZO even Zonda 7.3 were ultra smooth under braking @ ring, no aids, CS/SH tires. I almost thought i was getting better lol.

Driving without ABS, I think the BB felt similar with GTA, tried 5/5, rear tires easily lock up on R32 GTR stock, this was done with 50% force, then I tried with my usual settings 5/3, pre 2.06 i can trail brake into a corner without the rear breaking traction/slides out, but after 2.06 i can only replicate with 5/2. The brakes do feel smoother now, more feedback than before - especially when cadence braking, transition to lock up and vice versa also similar to GTA.

The weird thing is, in GT5 pre 2.06 I will need BB 6/6 to have the same brake force as GTA with 5/5, tried them on R32 GTR and 370Z. In GTA, both have heavy tendency to lock up tires with more than 40% brake force when braking during low speed entry. I did all my GTA without ABS, its a struggle to not lock up in every corner.

Well, last night/this morning I managed to do some laps with the G27.
As I have to be as noiseless as possible with the wheel (:dopey:) I definitely have to say that with FFB set to 1 the wheel is less noisy even if I go over kerbs which can save me a lot of trouble.
Also I have to note that even with FFB set to 1 the car I drove seemed more responsive and easier to control if I overdo it even coming into a high speed corner a little sideways.
Braking. As I recently decided to begin driving with ABS=0 when I drive with my wheel, I can definitely confirm that even as brake bias act more or less as before, the actual braking is more fluid (very precise word to describe what is happening). You can still lockup but you could feel when you are on the edge of slipping into understeer (as you overshoot the corner).
I'm not much of a sound enthusiast and can't say about sound ... :nervous: To me it seems the same as before (using headphones) but I don't drive any particular car a lot so ... can't compare really.
But graphics ... Hmmmm, that's another thing. I'm almost sure that if you watch your replay you will notice that the shadows on the ground around your car are much smoother. Interestingly not around/under AI cars as I saw some good old jaggy shadows. Hmmmm. Also I think they did something with the lighting. As I drive a lot on Grand Valley Reverse (my test track) I can definitely say that everything seems more bright, the asphalt seems to reflect more light ... but I'm not sure I like it more or not. Meh. :dopey:

I feel details are higher in LFA, cockpit, see things i didnt see before. Even rimms seem better, especially shadows so you see more details in them. I dont know if its that or they lowered some bright areas so they feel more natural now and the dark ones have more detail. Would like too see a before update and after update picture. But as i said before, sound is really better.

Another thing, is the camera bouncing more? Feels like it is, driving on nurburg now is more thrilling.

Ah man, dont beat yourself up doing GTAc with ABS off, cant change BB, so its actually a handicap where braking is involved .

I like the challenge, managed to get average ranking higher than most of my friends who uses ABS, most of my time records are within half a second from the 1st rank, so I feel good about it

Good to hear ! On DS3 the GTAc BB made me feel like i was driving a Dreidel/Top lol.

That's because even brake balance will cause the rear brakes to be too strong. You have to have a front bias when it comes to brakes in most cars.

The key to brake effectively is to apply brake no more than 30 to 40% for low speed - less than 150km/h, from higher speed - 200km/h I can brake harder at 70% - 80%, then gradually eased off to 30% until corner entry, you can try this with round 3-5 last corner, my time there is rather slow at 0:45.1xx, 1.2 second slower than 1st rank, braking hard without ABS is nerve racking if keeps on spoiling a good run:)

anyone know what this is?

- A "Performance Difference Adjustment" has been added to the rewards for seasonal events. (Applies only to seasonal events held after this update)

I think it will be some sort of bonus for using a car with less PP in a seasonal event.
