I'm new here but with the size of the patch suggests more than just bug fixes. They have given every level ticket, so am I crazy in saying possibly PD has developed a new ticket system or maybe just new tickets to give in seasonal events? Speculation is fun!

I'm downloading now.. Does anyone know if the clutch on the G25/7 has been fixed to preform like a real clutch?? I've heard rumors.

I don't think it's possible to make it work like a real clutch, the hardware/software just isn't quite capable. Besides, never once when I've been racing (while using the clutch) have I encountered the need for it to "slip" like a real clutch or perform any differently than it does. Clutch in - shift gear - clutch out - accelerator down = win. 👍 I never thought I'd see the day where I had an actual clutch and shifter on my "wheel", I'm still beyond thrilled that it works as well as it does. :dopey:

Yes, sorry I didn't explain in my post as I was in the middle of driving online at the time. Online physics definitely feel different. I took a stock 86 GT out on the Nurburgring and it was very drifty through the corners. I also noticed the bumps and elevation changes were more pronounced and would throw the car off. It definitely wasn't that reactive before 2.06. Took a lot of fighting the car to keep it from spinning. When I switched to other cars I didn't have this issue at all.

VERY glad to hear. I'll have to try it out soon.

Still haven't fixed the glitch were you can ban driving aids online? That's sad. :(

Heh, n00b. Most people know that's not a glitch. Driving aids slow people down...

Heh, jk of course.

I know what you mean. You set the lobby to "No racing line" yet it still says "Driving line enabled."

Has anyone made PD aware of that?

Why did they fix the bug that allowed you to race F1s alongside other cars? These people are like the Minecraft developers, if there's ever a good bug, you can be sure they'll fix it eventually. Just like they did with duping and the paintable-stock-wheels glitch.

I'd say who cares if it says you can use it. You still can't actually use it with the box checked.

FFB with my G27 has definitely improved!

Thanks PD! It's really encouraging when PD respond to our requests. 👍

The Ferrari F1 license probhibited the F2007 and F2010 from driving alongside other cars. The Karts one is quite self-explanatory though, why have cars racing with them? Fun yes, but no point really and it defeats the 'purpose.'

No, I don't mean like that. I mean being able to ban driving aids in any lobby.

Right.

This is a driving simulator after all. While it doesn't live up to the title in some ways, it rectifies itself in others. :)

It's still not a glitch in any way. Their room, they can do what they want and just leave it be.

For the first time i think sound is ok. My LFA 10 is sounding much better.
By the way, didnt see crowd on Nurburg 24h before on start/finish straight before the update. Another thing, feels like premium cars cockpit view is a bit different, narrow is really narrow now and i can see in mirror now. Whatever, the most important thing is sound and ffb feel is better.

FFB has definitely improved, driving the 908 HDi on Mulsanne feels like an X1.

Very good update PD. Sounds have changed a bit too, especially the ZR1 RM (sounds raspier)

About FFB on G27 its more smooth and drifting is more easy ( which i mean the car is more controllable now ), but its still drive me crazy with that size of updates is it for the new GTA cars or there something else coming along.

anyone know what this is?

- A "Performance Difference Adjustment" has been added to the rewards for seasonal events. (Applies only to seasonal events held after this update)

We'll have to wait to find out about the performance adjustment.

I do think the RM exhaust is a bit different. Starting one up in the garage they sound just nasty. The Camaro RM '10 sounds different on track too. I don't have any way to record audio or video for comparison though, so it's just guesswork.

I do agree with what you said about the FBB... When i tune on the wheel i love understeer but on my most resent car i have been tuning had a little too much... After the update i noticed it felt like the understeer is more controllable and to be honest i love this update... Also i had my FBB level at 2 or 3 (because i do all the work anyway) the update reset it to 5 and it feels better even when i put it at 3 again... This morning i got into my Jay Leno tank car and drifted it to see if it felt any different... What i found out there was that it seems the wheel acts watt better to body roll... And the same to my other cars... There is more of a G-FORCE feeling now... I also tried on of my GT500 cars that i love to race and it feels more responsive around turns and apexes... I think that they increased the wheel weight at least that is what it feels like to me... But yes 100% satisfied with this update... Only thing i am going to miss is racing the F2007 against the FGT... Some tracks those two would be neck and neck...

Also about the graphics... It seems that the paint on premium and standard cars are richer... And the detail in the in-car camera has been improved

Quick question about the update. I'm currently doing the Lemans 24H and the race is suspended. When I start to play GT5, it asks if I want to update to 2.06, but I'm afraid to click "yes" as this might override my race suspend, and therefore cause me to lose 7 hours worth of my race. Has anyone else tried this?

I did a similar thing in the Suzuka 1000km updating from 2.02 to 2.03 (which incidentally almost screwed me over too with the tyre wear update) and the suspended race was still saved.

Did it add the new tyre model in straight away? Did you have to change your driving style to adapt to the new tyres mid-race?

Hit the ps button and sign out of ps network. When you get done with the race sign back in.

The update affects the game software and content. I am pretty sure the update will not mess with your game save, which includes the suspended race.

It did put in the new tyre wear straight away. My FTO STC was managing one lap less around Suzuka than before, the AI were managing a lot less as well on their Racing Mediums. Needless to say, I could go 15 laps, but I had 29 laps left afterwards so pitted with 15 laps to go and on the last lap...yeah. Had a pretty close shave.

If you want to make sure that it doesn't... Go to you network settings on your XMB screen and disable the internet connection... This will stop the update and the game will just load up...

Haha, don't mean to laugh at your expense dude, but that is pretty funny!

Nice job adapting to it though! PRO SKILLZ! :)
