2.09 pp system vs 2.10 pp system ??

Can anyone explain what the difference between the PP calcs from 2.09 and 2.10 and why the 2.09 was Superior?? I didn't realize there was a problem. Thanks!

2.10 dropped the PP levels and almost every rear wheel drive car that had more than 51% of its weight up front. Cars would be dozens of seconds apart in very little time because only a Haverhill of cars were affected.

U probably dont race online much then. Having a competitive race online was nearly impossible in 2.10 if pp was used as a restriction. . You could be racing cars that have top speeds that were up to 30mph higher than yours. And the worst was that those boosted cars were almost always heavy terrible handling pos's. So if you wanted to win you would have to drive those cars which are not fun and quite slow around corners but deadly fast in the straights.. So you could now blow the doors off an nsx in a dodge challenger for example. Not very realistic was it?

With 2.09 some cars are faster because of their superior handling and some benefit from up to a 5mph top speed advantage over the norm but those advantages could be neutralized with driver skill or tuning. Truth is its impossible to make cars perform exactly the same even in real life racing.

Even in formula 1 you have the Mclaren car which is usually a few seconds a lap faster than the Marussia, even though they both make the same hp and weigh the same.

Ha! Actually i love to race online BUT, i'm definitely a weekend warrior. I wish I had more time to race. I think I just assume i suck as oppose to being up against an unfair advantage... I usually find myself middle to back of pack just trying to keep up. I'm usually battling for for a position for about 3/4 of the pack.... but that's fine with me a good battle is a good battle no matter what the place... I just like to race... I know my skill is certainly lacking but, i'm happy to hear that some of this may be unfair advantage... I'll have to test my skill again with 2.11 however I suspect there won't be a change for my placing... Anyway, Thanks for the Replies!!
