i dont get this.
if you make sub 21' times you should run sub 1'40 laps which is fu**ing impossible. i am running 12 laps here, that's correct yes?
i do 23.xxx in total time. i know i'm bad but not more than 6-7 secs slower than the rest, so what the h*ll is going on here?

I'm more then happy to be less then a second off the pace in a 250HP Suzuki, especially when mine tops out at 160mph, and I hear most of your guys are going 200+.

What are your lap, are they all about the same?

If my calculations are correct, if you ran a 1'50.000, and you did that same time every lap for 12 laps youd get a total time of 20'00.000. If you did 1'51s youd get a total time of 20.12.000 and 1'52s would be 20.24.000. BigRacer, your fastest lap was a 1'56.700, if you did that or around that for twelve laps your time would be around 21.20.000. Maybe you arnt adding your times together properly.

my laps are in the 1'54-1'58 region. even if you run AVERAGE rounds of 1'50 your total time must be around 22' so 20' or even 21' total time seems impossible. you are not running in race meeting mode, right? 'cos that'll give you a clear (fuel consumption) advantage.

12 laps of 2 minutes give 24'. 1'50 rounds are 10' off that, so 24-(12*10/60)=22' and not 20'.

i assume i can copy gt4's time that is given in the save replay screen after quitting after 12 laps?

yesterday i redid my 12 laps and, again, improved my hotlap: 1'54"245. my worst lap was 1'59 due to one slight off.
i am now at 23'22"063.
thanks again so much dunda for the settings wizardry. i changed to minimum weight - 3x1 aids - auto 11.

Ah, yes I see, you are right, I was totally missing adding the final 2 minutes on in my calculations somehow :O :lol: :D So add 2 minutes on to my total time and you get my real time which means my time must have been 22.25.650 :D Sorry for the mistake, I feel like such an ass right now :lol: :bowdown: Bigracer :bowdown:
 
as was i, i am running in the 22'12.xxx range, am aiming for 22'06.xxx though...
 
ok no worries. still those 22' times are incredible. you guys are on average 5" faster than me. i think i'll rename myself (again) into mrbottomofthelist :)
 
22'08.704, is where i am at now another couple of seconds left in it but i don't have the patience to chase them down so this is my FINAL TIME for the week... best lap was a 1'50.157
 
great 12 lap time my team buddy! amazing you are on average 6" faster each lap.
dunda is also doing very well so our team is up up up (no thanks to me old laggard :nervous: ).
but still 👍 👍 👍 i guess until i hit the city track tarmac ...
 
Some very good times coming in...Can't say I'm THAT fast. But thankfully my times ARE finally coming down. Bigracer, didn't you say you had a few offs during your race?? You also mentioned that it cost you about 2 mins, shouldn't that make up the difference in time???
I think I'll have to switch back to Suzuki. You guys are MEGA fast.

my lap was in my DB9, and not in the M3 CSL, i havent gotten behind the wheel of that yet... ;)

Here's my final time for Suzuka: 22'21.837,, and I'm quite happy with this,, It's not fantastic but not bad either,, There are definetly some seconds too shave off,, but after about 200 miles on that Suzuka circuit I will call it a day,, Fastest lap was a: 1'51.303,, Got to know the track real good,, and some stiffer suspension settings helped too:)
 
danni boy - i'd be ahead of you in the suzuka qual if i could count my fastest lap from my last 12-lap attempt.
a question for you - what's the qualifying good for?

Just got through with my second attempt at the race, managed to beat the time I previously posted by a very comfortable margin even though I had a spin on the exit of 130R which cost me around 5 seconds and another incident which cost me around 1.5 seconds, I also managed to better my Quallifying time by doing a fastest lap of 1'49.553, as for my total time, it shall remain a mystery for now :sly:

Actually I just noticed something, I just finished completeing my third attempt at the race, I did it in GT Practice Mode and when I finished I took note of the total time the game gave me then I added my laps together and came up with the exact time the game did, so you may not have to add your times together after all :)
 
If that is true than that would be very easy.
 
Ye it is, I forgot to say that, to get your final time, once you complete the 12 laps, quit the race then save your replay and the game should give you an accurate total time of the amount of laps you completed 👍
 
Nice, glad to see that we've got a slightly less annoying way to sort times out. Which is even better seeing as everyone has to save their replays anyway...
As for qualifying, tradition Steve, tradition. Plus every row back gets one second added to their times, so when you give me your time, if you're on the third row, I'll add two seconds to your time. If you don't qualify, I'll just add whatever the back row would have gotten if everyone had qualified.

Suzuka is really starting to piss me off now so im gonna give up on the final 6 - 7 seconds which I know is out there and submit my time, my time is reasonable but it is well below what I know I can achieve, i've just lost the moment and my speed has left me :banghead: I managed to get my Fastest Lap down to a 1'49.3xx in a previous run though which I am happy about :)
 
I can't get a lap time that fast:(.
 
i am submitting my 2322063 cos i dont see much improvement happening.
 
The fastest i got in my 12 lapper was a low 149.4xx, great going guys, glad to some interest.

Okay I've had a shot at the race, my fastest lap was 1'49, I've PM'ed my race time to danisfast. My car is more than capable of going a lot faster but I haven't got the time to set it up for Suzuka properly or take a number of runs and pick the best one.

I gave Hong Kong a try today and the fastest lap I have so far is a 1'12.x30 :) This is quite a hard track and is quite hard to be consistent.
 
Gotta say, love Hong Kong...can't wait to see what times we get from that round....

OK ROUND 1 IS OVER!!! I'LL UPDATE THE THREAD IN THE NEXT 30 MINS!!!
