Dash it all! I missed the deadline for round one. :banghead:
 
Yay I won :Schumacher Leap: :D I felt for sure my faliure to break the 22 minute barrier was going to keep me from getting even a podium :) It would have been better if more people had run though, but well done to all who did 👍 Now we move on to Hong Kong, I suck at city coarses because I like to attack the inside rumble strips on corners with all my might but it's hard to do that when theres a wall there :D
 
Congrats to east. :cheers: Blast! I had a time good enough for fifth.... :irked: This week, I'm in.
 
4th not bad, could have done better though in that car. Believe me, if I win it's the car, but congratulations to east for the win. It was pretty close though for a 12 lap race in such different cars.
 
I got 6th again, I guess I will have to work harder.
Here is a lap time I got on hong kong.

The Jag is leaning towards understeer, slightly too much for my tastes, but, nonetheless, a solid 1'13.659 thusfar. Both cars are running eerily similar laps.
 
great work east, i promise i wont let you get away on hong kong, lol.

just jokin, its nice to have some close compatition, anyway the fastest lap im able to pull on hong kong is a 1'11.0xx, i just cant seem to get under 111.
 
i told the stewards i'm not running hongkong and citi, or at least put a minimum effort into it since i dont like these city races at all.
so i did one qual round of 1'18"079 and let bob do the 10 laps for me (speed 5) in 13'00"955.
hopefully you won't think less of me now. i do gt4 & gtp because of the fun, and if certain combo's are no fun to me i don't do them. simple!
so now i already work on the next tracks in this otherwise excellent tournament. the special stage is one where you need a rithm to get you through the curves with speed. the test course you can do in race meeting-mode but it's very difficult to benefit from drafting while not getting beaten of the track by the stupid ai cars.
grand valley i save for my last days before my summer holiday.

BTW bigracer, dont give up, the csl is capable of a 1:12 lap easy.

LOL sorry AngelCreator. I let the team down with just a poor set of runs. gotta say I really should organise my time a bit better.
I love Hong Kong, so I should do a bit better this time...Congrats to East and thanks to all those who took part.

just to let every1 know, im swapping my m3 gtr for a csl, since bigracer wouldnt be running the
city courses, il post the stats in the registration thread later today.


maybe il be able to pull off a 1 2 for the qual.

BTW got a 1:11.8xx

Okay, both vehicles I whittled down to the 1'12.4 range. The Monaro keeps promising a rather large improvement, only to stuff it up later in the course. :irked:
 
My bloody GT4 isn't working!! AARRGGHH!!! I love Hong Kong!! Gotta get sometimes in!!! BTW, a few more submissions might be nice people!!! And they MUST be PM'ed!!!(which, in truth, most people managed in the last round).

I finally found a set-up that works for my car on this track :sly: cracked it into the 1'11s now im hunting down the Pole :trouble:

Would you made sending me your setup for the Suzuki, I want to see
if my setup is the reson I can't go any faster or if it's me.

I would if send you my setup if I was using the Suzuki but my car is the Honda NSX, if youd like to know my NSXs setup i'd be more than happy to give it to you :)
 
Now I just got finished slivering off another six tenths on the Monaro... Bloody hell this place is so difficult to be consistant at.
 
I though you were using the Suzuki, I must not have reading right when I posted.

Yes it is, I can barely go two laps pushing hard without smacking into a wall or something.
 
very true, the race is going to be a bit hectic, but i guess everyone i just gona end up pacing themsevles, i know that trying to maintain close to qualifying times, just isnt gona work
 
If you can just not make any mistakes, there is definetly a good chance for anyone on this track. Nice to see that some are close to breaking that 1'10 barrier. Gonna see if that can't be me...Just wish my GT4 would work....

I've got down to low 1'12's but it's alomst like the car isn't destined to beat that, I keep clipping a wall or hitting a kerb to hard or something that sends my car into a slide that loses me a couple of seconds.
 
Well, definitely higher kerb height is recomended. Try about 15mm above what you ride normally to clear tricky turns such as the last three 90º corners. Also attacking corners with the "Come in wide, dig deep" technique really works.
 
wel both my cars run minimum height, theres only a few kerbs i ride.

I'll try a time tomorrow, my car's capable of going sooo much faster but I'm not sure on this track that I am :lol:.
