So, you posted a thread about something that isn't even out yet, for what reason?
And you also messed up the title, unless you know something I don't know. Pretty sure the next update is 2.03. I would think they'd release a 3.0 before they released a 2.3

and? the update dose not have a set release time and 2.03 and 2.3 are the same thing the 0 is a place holder for example there and be a 2.01 and a 2.15
PD just chooses to go thru 01-09 so your wrong..

It's 2.03, not 2.30.
Also what's the point of this thread exactly? The update isn't out yet.

Someone please close this...

2.03 is equal to 2.3. 2.03 is a convention used because file systems will sort 2.3 after 2.10, even though 2.3/2.03 was released first.

It has just limited usefulness. If you have more than a 100 minor versions, then you'll get 2.100 sorted before 2.99.

p.s.2.3 is not equal to 2.30.

I don't think you know how decimals work, 2.3 is not the same as 2.03.

Then, before Spec II came along, we were on version 1.13. What's that then? 11.3?

Version numbers only look like decimal numbers. They are not meant to be decimal numbers.

Huh?

you guys have never updated other games.. and yea that's what thees guys mean...
UPDATE WISE!!!! 2.03 = 2.3 update wise

I'm just throwing out a silly example as there's not always a zero there, in that case, a one was there. Does the one get substituted? 11.3 was just something random I typed up. :p

Loving the little decimal argument. :lol:

and READ THE OP THIS THREAD IS NOT MEANT TO BE POSTED ON UNTIL SOME ONE GETS THE UPDATE
so not post below unless it is 2.03 related please

Are you on some sort of hallucinogen?
I ask because by your theory, if after PD releases 2.09, and want a small update but not big enough to warrant 3.0, and decide to release a 2.10 update, it would be the SAME exact build as the 2.01 update. How can this possibly make sense in your head?

read above!!!!

Well, if 1.06 was written as 1.6, then when you sort the files, the file system will revert to decimal sorting and it would show 1.13 before 1.6. That is the only reason why we started putting extra zeros.

Again, it only works if you have less than 100 minor versions.

I'm guessing you haven't actually read anything that I've posted.

2.1 and 2.10 would be two entirely different versions. Again, because people are used to decimal numbers, they assume that 2.1 and 2.10 are the same.

To make it easier, look at it like this:

Version 2 Revision 1
Version 2 Revision 10

We decided to save space and just write 2.1 and 2.10. But then file systems used decimal logic to sort them so we had to start putting in extra zeroes.

To sum up:

2.3 == 2.03
2.3 != 2.30
2.03 != 2.30

read above!!!!

Sorry, but your not my boss, and it makes NO sense to start a thread, tell people NOT to post in it, and have it be about something that may NEVER exist.
Reported 👍

You could just edit the title and appease them so they'll get over it.

Okay everybody is right! Stop talking about decimals! You're just increasing your post count by going off topic which is violating the AUP!

Jesus calm down, people are going to post in your thread when you make a mistake and keep arguing. Just change the title to "2.03 Full change log" and do something useful like copy and pasting the official changes and adding the ones noticed by GTPlanet users to the OP.

Good luck, have fun.

user change logs are unannounced features

Or, you could have GTP edit their announcement of the upcoming 2.03 update...

https://www.gtplanet.net/lamborghini-aventador-route-x-circuit-more-in-leaked-gt5-2-03-details/

since they clearly posted the wrong version number.

:lol: so much hate over numbers.

To your average person: 2.3=Version 2, revise 3; 2.03=same thing.
To computers/developers: 2.3=Version 2, revise 30; 2.03=version 2, revise 3.

Straying away from the decimal issue: I'm wondering what PD put in that they didn't announce. More wheel choices for standards? More physics tuning? Adding the TGTT Mile?

Also, what's your question? *troll face*
