But nothing compared to your Camaro huh? J/k but I wouldn't call a WRX Sti a little car.
In real life if that car was lined up next to me and we were at a dead stop, I would get owned in my Camaro for the first 60 feet. Very hard to beat a WRX off the line since they have AWD and I only have RWD.
When I test drove that WRX this summer I revved it until it bounced off the rev limiter then I just poped the clutch and I was shocked how fast that car got off the line. :dopey:

hey i was jut wondering whats the actual code name for that subaru impreza? cos l know the old one was the gc8 right? the one with the square-ish rectangular lights, and then came the gdb righht? aka the ugly bugeyed variant, so i was wondering what is this one called? or is it still the same and called a gdb?

It is still the GDB.

And Camaroboy, wouldn't a full throttle, sidestepped clutch launch in a Subie wreck the clutch?

The older 2.5RS models (like 2000 and 2001) were GC8s.
Bugeyed models were GDA for the sedan, GDB for the wagon.
"Peanut" eyed models are GGA for the sedan, GGB for the wagon.

It certainly isn't healthy for the clutch, but hey, it was a test drive. I test drove a different WRX than the one I bought.

Oh whoops. You can't trust anything you read on the internet obviously. Sorry to mislead you Tsun.

The sound in the video isn't working for me...should it be? I remember reading something about the beautiful sound the car makes, but I wouldn't know. Help?

Yes it is very bad for any car to rev the engine full throttle then pop the clutch. But like Goomba said I was test driving WRX and wanted to see how the launch was.

i actually get a quicker 60ft time when i only launch at about 4.5 grand, so its not faster. Redline launches will hurt the clutch but will destroy your tranny first. :scared:
Now the wrx and the wrx sti trannies are not on the same level when speaking of toughness. My WRX tranny is like glass compared to the STi. 👎
