2009 German Grand Prix

Maybe for F1 fans...but remember a certain Hamilton in 2007

Hamilton, whose only sin (up until Liegate, that is) was being overhyped and overpenalized?

-

Reminds me of the penalty given last year... can't remember whose... when a driver refused to give way to Massa when coming out of the pits. Which he didn't legally have to, since he was actually racing Massa for position and wasn't a lap down.

If you're racing for position, you given no quarter and expect no quarter to be given. This might result in an incident if the driver coming up behind you expects an easy overtake and gives himself no space to avoid you, but that's racing.

Whatever you decide to do, keep it to yourselves as that would be illegal.

Can do.

I'm going to mention FinalGear here, because it's essentially doing what he wants, just with a different show. What's the difference?

Going off topic now, but why hasn't the BBC done anything about it then?
As far as I know they did and Finalgear went offline for a time, but it seems to be back now.

In tis instance, all I know is that the FIA are very protective of their copyright and we at GTP can't be seen to be assisting folk to break that.

The Hamilton that didn't know when to stop pushing and lost the championship

So... if you don't try your best, then you deserve to win?

Granted, that Hamilton made many rookie mistakes. But he was in it to win it. If you're not doing stupid things every now and then in an effort to score more points, then you just don't have the heart to win.

Better to see a couple of guys push like madmen to overcome a 10 place deficit due to some mechanical gremlin, just to score points, than to see one guy cruising to victory every race, or just giving up and accepting a points-scoring position just to play it safe... which is what Hamilton did in the final race last year to win his championship... it was smart, yes, but it would have been more exciting to see him push for a podium.

Waitaminute... that race actually was exciting... the craziest half-minute of the past five years in F1.
