live4speedI'm assuming you can't put the 200k into a bank acocunt or building society, because then the cash is still cash and will be taken away from you, so I'd buy a house, then turn it into flats and rent it out. I wouldn't buy a fast car because even after the initial purchese you still have to pay large sum's of money to keep it and run it etc, I'd love an Aston Martin, but I coul;dn't afford to own one, after buying one, the insurace would be stupidly high talking a good few grand a year on it's own, and then should it ever get broken into or bumped into, the cost of repairs would kill me. I'd buy property and rent it out.
Anderton PrimeI think we need some clarification as to what currency this is. There's no way $200,000 US would buy both those cars. The Gallardo's MSRP is US$175,000. And an M3 is more expensive than US$25,000. Plus we'll have to figure in taxes!
I'd probably still invest in property, buy a building, turn it into flats, get say 1200 a month in rent at 300 per month each from 4 people, over 5 years that's a gross of 72k, also the building by then will probably be worth about 20% more than you paid for it. so say you pay 180k for the building, and 20k turning it into flats or if they're already flats, rennovation. 20% ontop of 180k is 216k, add 72k to that, that's a gross of 288k, tak tax off the 72k and that leaves that at roughly 50k so in total you'd have 266k in that property, another 5 years and another 20% on the price (over the original price anyway) and another 72k, and it's a great investment. And perfectly legal, but the real money comes when you use your alue to get a mortgage on a second property, then a third etc. If I had the cash to do it, I'd go into property tomorrow.*McLaren*Sure you can. It doesn't matter, the whole point is that you have to do something with it before the gov. tries to take it away.![]()
Someone made a good point about an expensive, fast street car being too expensive in the long run. But that 1980 F1 race car fantasy juntion has looks awful nice. I'd spend the last 5,000 on fuel.SmallhorsesWith this place just around the corner, getting rid of $200K shouldn't be difficult!
Fantasy Junction (no it's not porn, or a strip club!!!!)
Click on the "Inventory" link and prepare to!
Rep given, but you could've chosen better...Ms. Steal has some of the fakest looking funbags around.Diego440I'd have a 3-way with Jenna Jameson and Krystal Steal... and spend the remainder buying condoms...

amp88Put it in a Swiss bank account?
That's in England, you can buy a pretty decent lot in the suburbs for that money in the US, or a house and lot way out in the boonies.live4speedHow many car's and houses can you buy with 120k? That'd buy less than half my house, maybe it'd buy my garden.

Use http://www.zillow.com/ to appraise your lot...I'm betting it's at or near $120K-$150K. You could get some pretty nice chunks of land for that money.BlazinXtreme120k wouldn't even pay for half of the house I live in, we paid 275,000 for the house we live in now and that's considered cheap for the area.
Damn, and you live in a pretty big house don't you? My average sized 4 bedroom semi-detatched is worth £385k, that's over $700kUSD, I didn't realise the difference was so big in property pricesBlazinXtreme120k wouldn't even pay for half of the house I live in, we paid 275,000 for the house we live in now and that's considered cheap for the area.

And if go into details, the land is appraised at around $118K. So even if you can't get a house, you can get a nice chunk of land for $120K or thereabouts.BlazinXtreme249k according to that...but our house has been appraised at more then that eariler this year.
