I'm right there with you, I see no point for this right now...or ever in America.

Odd...considering they sold for YEARS, and GM only canceled the platform when there was no suitable replacement available. Besides: it would've gotten better mileage...

Is there still a GMC variant on the way?

Not as far as I know. It sounds like the plans for Ute production in the US is dead as well. GM, perhaps, decided that its best to stick with what people are actually buying; Good small cars, good full size pickups, and good crossovers.

Overall, I can't be totally upset, but perhaps disappointed. I would have loved to have seen one, use one, and test the water for the idea. Simply put, the GMT355 program has been poorly executed from the start, and with the minimal fanfare that the V8 models received upon their debut, its really game over for small pickups in general.

Which makes me wonder... When do we get one of those little Astra-like trucks from Brazil?

I don’t feel all that disappointed about this news. I guess it’ll only make Holden a little more unique from overseas GM brands. 👍

Hearing this made me unreasonably angry. I am not amused, GM.

Were you planning on buying one or are you just upset because you won't get to see them on the streets?
